I am extremely disappointed by the service I received upon attempting to purchase a Mercedes GLA from West Motors. After expressing my interest and being informed that the car was available, I paid a £99 deposit to secure the purchase. As the trip to the dealership was 200 miles (one way), I was fully prepared to complete the purchase. The day before my planned visit, I called the office to inquire if the car was ready for collection. I asked specific questions, such as whether the car had been cleaned both inside and out, and whether it was in MINT condition mechanically. I was assured that the car had been moved to the plot and so that means it was ready for sale. I was also told that someone will call me back with more information same day. Unfortunately, no one called me back. When I arrived at the dealership next morning, I was appalled to find that the car's interior was dirty and had a bad smell. This was most certainly not the impression I should be given. After starting the engine, I noticed a strange noise coming from it, and at this point I knew something was wrong. The agent told me that the car will be detailed later on..(but this should have been done before my arrival imo.). Now all started to getting up as agent admitted that the car had not passed its inspection and therefore could not be taken to the street. Next, I was shown an almost identical car, which I was told had great specs, but I soon discovered that it had several faults and wouldn't even start so I couldn’t even take it to a test drive However, he still tried to persuade me to purchase that car… Moreover, when I mentioned the Carvertical report I had done prior to my visit, it revealed that the car was subject to outstanding finance. This fact had not been disclosed to me. I asked if there was any way the situation could be rectified and the agent said they would do their best to sort it out. I was then informed at 3:44pm that they were unable to do so, and that they would need to sort out the remaining finance. Throughout this process, I felt that the dealership was more interested in selling me a car insurance policy with a paint cover for £2,000, rather than selling me the car itself. It appears that West Motors does not prioritize customer satisfaction, and for this reason I would not wish to go through this process again with them. I really hope that my review was comprehensive, accurate, and detailed, and I hope that the company takes it seriously.

I had a very negative and traumatic experience with a west motors London they sold me a Range Rover Velar (HJ68VCZ) that broke down on a duel carriageway 4 days after purchase. After taking to Land Rover to establish what the problem was I was informed that it had never been serviced and has catastrophic engine failure. The car required a completely new engine. This all happened within 4 days of buying the car. On top of that, the dealership is refusing to pay my deposit and has been extremely complacent and unhelpful throughout the entire process. They were aware that the car had never been serviced, they were aware that the car had the engine management light on before it was sold to me ( they sent me a copy of the pre sale inspection list which indicated the light was on) but they failed to disclose this information to me prior to the sale. As a result, I ended up with a dangerous and faulty vehicle that required a major repair. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a car from this dealership to think twice. Their lack of honesty and transparency about the condition of their vehicles is a serious issue, and it's clear that they are not willing to take responsibility for their actions. If you're looking for a safe and reliable car, I would recommend looking elsewhere. We are now in the process of taking this to court but I’m leaving this review to save you your time and money.

Charlie Smith in response to Worst experience of my life
Have you had much movement taking them to court? Whats the process been like so far?
I bought a Land Rover Discovery Sport from the company on 13/9/2022. The salesperson, Jamie Blowey, said the car was checked completely, all problems were fixed and was good for driving. After 7 months, I found there was oil leakage on 6/4/2023. The garage said the chain of the gearbox aged and expanded seriously, it clashed with the case of the gearbox and made a hole lending to the oil leakage. The problem is impossible to be developed in 7 months. And the maintenance cost is GBP4224.97. I have visited two garages and both of them said the chain should have been replaced before releasing the car to the market. It is a 7-seat family car and the problem consituates a serious safety problem. I trusted the company, the car have completely checked before selling to me, but actually it was not checked. I am requesting for an explanation but no one response.

Charlie Smith in response to selling car with problem
Have you had any response?
They come across very friendly, but it's all fake. You buy a car and and they cover up all the problems with the car. Then you drive away and it all starts to happen. You become aware of all the faults but when contacting them they keep making excuses all the time. They are complete liars. The car I got from them is awful. So much work needs doing. They even told me that they have moved. What a joke. Please be carefull I really don't want customers going through what I am having to go through. Check reviews. There are certainly a lot of unhappy customers. The good reviews I reckon are from close people that they know. It's disgusting in how they think they it's right in how they are selling unsafe cars and taking our money . Passing a MOT when engine light is on. That is a fail. The more people that report there issues to DVLA the better. This company needs to be closed down and never trade again.

Absolutely shocking, cowboys, will take your money then not refund once the have sold you an unfit for purpose vehicle. Nephew bought a car that the failed to start as soon as he got it back home. Shocking customer service, They will make it as difficult as possible to get anything sorted. Avoid - do not part with your money, they are really not nice or professional at all!
I bought a car Hyundai i30 Reg EN**** from west-motors.co.uk. Initially, before the purchase they were very polite and nice. After the sale, during cleaning the car I found that in the past, there was a small dent and paint work done near the left side of the front bumper, but that was not mentioned in the advertisement neither on auto trader website nor on their website. When I contacted them and told them that they hide the information intentionally or unintentionally and my car doesn't worth this much. I want to return my car or want a proper concession as no one will buy this car from me in this price. They said go to court. So Now I will have to go to court for justice. Please stay away from these cheats. If buying a car from them do a proper professional check specially body work (paint and dents minor ones) and engine works. After sales they will give you terrible pain and stress. They will not accept their fault. Please be careful from them. Thanks Waqas

I bought a car from West Motors and I loved the service I got from Jamie and the rest of the staff. Jamie was very clear and he showed faith in me as a customer which I appreciated a lot. What he said about the car was true. He also was very good with the whole sale process. Many thanks Alban

Another company once they have your money they are not interested. Had my car delivered without looking at it what a massive mistake. All the wiper blades are illegal and split, one of the folding mirrors don’t fold . Service light on and was told it’s just had a full service . No parcel shelf and to top it off it was delivered with 0 on the amount of fuel left so it stopped and cut out on my drive . Had to go and get a cab and fill it so I could drive it to the fuel station. No response from my email or calls . PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE NEXT TIME IT COULD BE YOU ….

Karl in response to Absolutely terrible service
I’m glad you opened my eyes me and my wife wanted two new cars and we see both on their site and thought brilliant we can get them both from one dealer. I definitely won’t be going to this garage. I hope you get it sorted but sounds like your not going to with the rest of the negative feedback I’ve read in other sites …
