I purchased a Ford Fiesta in September from Westbrook Car Sales. The car was very clean and just as described online. Had it for a few months now and had no issues with it. My son has just past his driving test so going there to get a car hopefully. Thanks Westbrook Cars.
Even one star is to much for these rip off merchants. we have just had to dump the car my son purchased a few months ago due to the fact they took the computer offline so it hid all the engine faults. in fact so bad was the state of this car the engine has now seized and its a worthless piece of junk. three times we returned the car only to be fobbed off. it cost over 3000 in repairs and now the engine has finally gone. they claim they carried out a service Peugeot confirmed it had not had a service in years and it was of such bad condition it should never had been sold. we attempted to return the vehicle but they pulled out every trick in the book to stop that happening and in the end we were left with a pile of junk that cost 6800 !!! utter rip off. reported to watchdog rouge traders and VAT HMRC DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM WESTBROOK CAR SALES.

Hi now we have determined what vehicle this is regarding we can respond to this false review submitted. The vehicle purchased was a Peugeot 3008 towards the end of march 2018 through Carfinance 24/7. The customer contacted us regarding a issue with the vehicle we asked them to bring it back and we repaired the issue. Now after the issue was resolved the customer again said the vehicle has an issue again this was checked and resolved with the replacement of a new egr valve. The customer in June 2017 raised a complaint with the finance provider regarding the quality of the vehicle and to reject the vehicle. The finance company decided to get a "INDEPENDENT" inspection carried out the on the vehicle. We have copied the report here: ENGINEERS REPORT BACKGROUND / INSTRUCTION RECEIVED. The reported issues relate to previous EGR valve repairs and reoccurring EML light illumination and power loss. In the engineer’s opinion based on evidence, written, reported and observed during this assessment, the following can be concluded: On the evidence presented from visual, physical checks, inspection and testing, the vehicle as seen has some unresolved fault codes showing though none presented as illumination of any driver warnings or EML light illumination. The symptoms are well-known to us and in our opinion are the direct result of a combination of sticky EGR valve and a partial blockage of the DPF filter. These symptoms are normally caused by a build-up of carbon and soot within the EGR valve and DPF filter which will require cleaning i.e. from time to time the induction system has to be cleaned of soot and carbon, the result of routine maintenance rather than a material/manufacturing defect. With regards to the DPF filter, a diesel particulate filter (or DPF) is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. The filters usually remove 85% or more of the soot, and under certain conditions can attain soot removal efficiencies approaching 100%. Over time the filter progressively comes blocked with soot and requires regeneration i.e. an extra fuel injector is often fitted in the exhaust stream that injects fuel to react with a catalyst element to burn off accumulated soot in the DPF filter or through other methods. The regeneration process occurs at road speeds higher than can generally be attained on city streets; vehicles driven exclusively at low speeds in urban traffic can require periodic trips at higher speeds to clean out the DPF. If the driver ignores the warning light and waits too long to initiate the regeneration filter the DPF filter can become blocked requiring specialist cleaning. The vehicle has covered some 4000 miles since purchase on 27.3.18, which in our opinion is sufficient mileage for the soot and carbon build-up as part of routine maintenance to have progressed to the point that the induction system requires specialist cleaning such as provided by Halfords auto centre or Terra clean. Our opinion is that the vehicle was road legal and fit for purpose at the point of sale which is reaffirmed by the fact that the vehicle passed an MOT in and around the date of purchase with a similar mileage at the point of sale. In conclusion there was no evidence noted or presented at the time of the inspection to suggest that the vehicle was not fit for purpose and road legal or satisfactory quality at the point of sale with the current issue been entirely down to age-related general wear and tear i.e. soot and carbon has built up in the induction system which now requires cleaning. Above is the report that was submitted by the INDEPENDENT engineer to the finance provider. We shall now copy the response from the finance provide to the customer. Please find attached a copy of the report following an inspection of the customers vehicle. Due to the findings of the report The customer does not have a right to reject his vehicle. We would note that during the inspection no fault was identified, and the vehicle performed as expected (“the vehicle was run to normal operating temperature, stopped and restarted with no issues. All warning lights again extinguished”). In my previous email dated 08 August I advised that “should it be the case this soot build up is due to the DPF not being regenerated for example, this would be the failure to perform routine maintenance rather than an actual defect at the time of the sale (the DPF requiring regeneration is not a fault but expected maintenance for any diesel vehicle). Should there be a carbon build up in the EGR, with this due to routine wear and tear expected with the age and mileage of the vehicle (the EGR will naturally accumulate carbon due to operation of the vehicle) this may also be viewed as in service deterioration rather than any fault with the vehicle.” The visiting engineer has confirmed the vehicle is not defective as such but requires routine in service maintenance to be performed, and this is to be expected given the age and mileage of the vehicle and does not render the vehicle of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for purpose at the time of the sale. It is also not the responsibility of the dealership to undertake this routine maintenance of the Diesel Particulate Filter or address a natural and inevitable carbon build up in an internal combustion engine. The report concludes; “in conclusion there was no evidence noted or presented at the time of the inspection to suggest that the vehicle was not fit for purpose and road legal or satisfactory quality at the point of sale with the current issue been entirely down to age-related general wear and tear i.e. soot and carbon has built up in the induction system which now requires cleaning.”. As the independent inspection company has noted the issues are “entirely” down to age related wear and tear we are unable to conclude the customer has the right to reject the vehicle. We would also note that whilst Santander and the customer did not wish to allow for an independent inspection of the vehicle on the grounds a fault had been diagnosed, the explanation provided above confirms why an independent engineer performing a warranty inspection provides a more insightful and detailed account of the customer’s statutory rights compared to a diagnostic report. Westbrook car sales conclusion to the review After this response from the finance company we never heard again from the customer until this review that has been left. Now as the report clearly stated there was no fault with the vehicle and the finance company rejected their clam. We are bound by the finance company that if they instruct us to repair/replace or refund a customer we have an agreement in place where we have to do so and oblige by it. Above is the evidence to clearly show that the review left is not the truth and and is misleading to others. We at Westbrook car sales always work with customers to resolve any matters and will continue to do so.

LIARS it was returned to you within a week. then a WEEK later then a WEEK later you lied saying it was serviced and the "independent" inspection your talking about wasnt independent at all. peugeot themselves confirmed that it wasn't serviced and you took the computer offline to hide the faults something you have been accused of here already as well. you are greedy and my son is autistic and you saw him coming and we won't rest until you are shown for who you are via the media

Dear Beth. Could you please contact me in connection with your dealings with this company? I would like to talk privately with you about it as my partner has been receiving a similar service.
Cannot fault the service I received from westbrook car sales. I purchased an Aud a3 they had a new mot put on the vehicle for me and got it serviced too. I was really happy with the way they handled everything all round. I have had no issued with the vehicle so really glad to buy from this dealership

Recently bought a used car from Westbrook Car Sales to which they ‘kindly’ put a years MOT on with a 3-month warranty. Howerever, on the 80 mile journey home I began noticing a knocking from the passenger side rear wheel. After consulting a local trade professional the near side rear shock absorber was deemed ‘knackered’, and ‘should never have passed the MOT’. The car was also missing the foot mats and parcel shelf. In total, the car has cost me an additional £140 for the shock absorber, £45 for the mats, and £120 for the parcel shelf. A total of £305 in parts. The customer service I had there was good, however, they are clearly lacking the required standard of mechanics/small detail that is required of a trustworthy car dealership. I would like a response and a resolution to these issues.

Dear Lee, could you please contact me privately in regards to your dealings with this company. my partner has recently experienced a similar service and I would like to talk about your experience
We went over to purchase a second car and I was extremely impressed with how well the service we received. I liked how we was allowed to check the vehicle without anyone watching and we were left alone to do what we wanted to. The vehicle has been great have had no issues so far.

Went there to look at cars as I am a serious buyer with full amount of money and got told to not sit in the cars. So we decided not to spend our money there. The guy was very rude and wasn’t helpful.
When i purchased my BMW from Westbrook car sales in January this year, the whole experience was fantastic. The staff made the process of sale very straight forward and stress free and since I have had the car, I have had no issues what so ever. Definitely will recommend. Thanks Westbrook
I’m really please to purchase a car from Westbrook car sales. They were excellent to deal with easy and simple. No pushy sales and very helpful when needed some advice. I would highly recommend them.
