Very happy with this car. Luke was very helpful. We got a great service from Luke and his team.
Had a great experience with Luke at kia Braintree. Great experience, family friendly, he was upfront and straight with us, always kept us in the loop from start to finish. Would highly recommend him and will always go to him when looking for our next car. My missus in the pass has had a couple of bad experience before, where she been on the forecourt for 20mins and not one sales person had approached her and another time where he weren’t bothered whether he sold her a car or not. Luke had a great approach by letting us have a look for 5 minutes at our own joy to then approach us to see if there was anything in particular we were after, happy, polite and cheeky chappy a great asset to the company.
Went over to have a look round on the Wednesday as unsure of which model I wanted After 10 minutes Luke came out to see us asking if we needed any help Luke was more than helpful to advise us and show us some cars without making us feel pressured After test driving we then made our decision and now own a Kia Sportage. Luke completed all for us and we picked the car up on the Friday Very efficient friendly and professional Thank You Luke Mr & Mrs Walshley

I contacted Westdrive Kia as I had seen a Suzuki Ignis EK68 UFR for £10,995. I received a reply from Luke. I then sent full details for my Kia Venga CN17 UXW, low mileage at 14,500, excellent condition, 2 owners (including me), new MOT, recently serviced. I also included 12 photo's. I awaited a PX price against the Suzuki Ignis. I received a reply asking what price I wanted? I had seen four Suzuki Ignis I liked while browsing online so I had contacted all four dealers and given my PX details, I was simply looking for the best deal. I then asked what their offer would be, I've been driving 30 years therefore I've purchased quite a few cars. From my experience with every car I have bought the sales rep has put my PX details in the computer or directly to the manager (before it was computer generated) then come back with a price. Sales staff usually then have a top price bracket to negotiate up from that base PX price. Luke's reply was (whole reply copied and pasted): "Unfortunately, we do not operate like that here at Westdrive Kia . We are keen to do business but will not just give out prices to be involved in a multi dealer auction for your business. If it does not work out with the other dealers, please let us know." We would be keen to sell you car" So under normal circumstances without Covid restrictions does that mean that you do not do business with people who visit multiple dealerships for the best deal? Anyone experienced in sales knows that you compete against other companies in an attempt to offer better prices and service to attract custom. I can only assume that for Westdrive Kia business is booming and you do not need to do this. Until last week I travelled the country for work, sadly Covid has resulted in me losing work (hence the need for a smaller city car for the time being). I've bought a few cars from a distance before Covid restrictions. I would detour while on the road for work and visit the dealer but only once a rapport was built with the sales rep and a part ex price deal was on the table. I then replied to Luke explaining that the other three dealerships had given me a PX price with a simple reply and without issue. Luke then replied (whole reply copied and pasted): "And your still not happy?" WOW! ...That's a very unprofessional and unacceptable reply from a Kia main dealer. My staff would be given a warning if they had spoken to a prospective customer like that. If you didn't want my business then a polite professional reply would have sufficed. I care for my Mum with late stage dementia so my plan was to sit down that evening once she was in bed with all figures noted down in front of me, do a few calculations and make a decision. To be honest even if the PX price was lower than others if the customer service had been satisfactory I may have purchased from you because to me a deal is about the whole experience not just calculations and figures. A good rapport with a sales rep is worth more to me than a few hundred pound. In fact I have done just that with another dealer. My PX offers were £7390, £7500 and £7600. I accepted £7500, this was their first offer, I didn't attempt to haggle to £7600 (the best PX offer) simply because the sales rep is outstanding at his job. Christmas is upon us and after such a difficult year for everyone due to Covid I'm happy for him to earn the highest commission he can. It's a shame because my next car is going to be a Kia Sportage brand new or nearly new (Covid allowing work to restart next year) and you would have been my first thought for that purchase if my experience with you had been a positive one. I read all the negative reviews at cardealerreviews.co.uk and other online sites about aggressive rude staff but still contacted you because in my experience one sales rep can turn things around - sadly not this time!

I visited this dealership with my son to look at a used fiesta st-2. I spoke to Colin over the phone and when we arrived he was helpful and very relaxed. I had stated prior to travelling to the dealership that I was only interested if there was a deal on the table as the car was slightly overpriced for us. My son and I looked over the car and to be fair the vehicle was immaculate so we entered negotiations with Colin. unfortunately this is where Colin's professional approach ended. We couldn't agree on a part exchange price and during discussions he belittled my son and then said to me that he wasn't a leprechaun with a pot of gold. I was a little taken back at this and had to check that I hadn't accidentally walked in to a back street dealer. In light of his poor attitude I got up and walked out taking my son with me. My son however was really fed up because he really liked the car. He then emailed Peter the manage r and he offered £50 good will gesture on top of what had been discussed. So he offered a deal based on £400 off of the car and then £250 for the part exchange. So basically all the dealer did was add the £50 good will gesture and extra £100 discount to the part exchange which they initially offered £100 for. My son agreed to the sale and signed to this affect but we sold his present car privately so was taken out of the deal. On the day of collection Colin was not in and we were dealt with by another salesman. He was informed that part exchange had been sold privately so was not part of the deal. This left the price of vehicle at £9,595 so basically the extra discount and good will gesture had been lost because it had been added to the part ex. I explained this to the manager Peter and asked that car should be reduced to £9500 as that was original discussion. He then accused me of being aggressive and rude to him, obviously to avoid the conversation. Due to his attitude I again walked out and left my wife and son to sort it out. No extra discount was applied. We were also told that the car had full service history, however there was no service Stamps for years 2018 and 2019, this may be to the fact the car covered very little mileage but should still be serviced in a 12 month period so not full history. All I would say is that this company have no people skills whatsoever and are only interested in how much money they can get out of you. I would avoid at all costs and if you do deal with them make sure the deal is all in order.
Simon in response to purchase of used car
Ian, Perhaps look at a cheaper car next time, rather than playing games with the dealership? They are a business, not a charity. Well done on selling your sons car privately and getting more money. Perhaps your son can stand on his own two feet in future? Customers like you are not worth selling to. Keyboard warrior aren't you?
Awful Kia car dealer. the sales team are aggressive and rude, only nice IF they think they are going to get a sale. They have an aggressive sales technique. I went elsewhere in the end to a dealer who appreciates/respects their customers!
Absolutely appalling service. I had arranged a test drive last Friday at Westdrive Kia Braintree, but when turning up, Jason who my appointment was with finally was free 35 minutes after the booked timeslot. He said he was meant to finish at 6pm but will stay if I am buying the car, which I explained I needed the test drive before I am able to make a decision. Nobody in the branch was able to give me a test drive in which my 66 mile round trip was a waste of time. The branch did apologise. When feeding my experience back to the manager Peter I was met with "but you wasn't going to buy the car". My expectation was to be covered my fuel for my wasted journey, no more, no less. Peter has since refused to deal with the matter and passed it further up the chain, all over £29.70 worth of fuel (45p a mile statutory). The facts are: 1. I had an appointment for a test drive (with a voicemail to back this up). 2. I turned up to my appointment on time 3. Nobody at the branch was able to take me on the booked test drive 4. Peter, the manager has since failed to see any of this as the fault of his branch and since passed the blame to me because I would no commit to a purchase that I hadn't even had a test drive on. I wouldn't wish this level of service on any of my friends or family and so cannot in anyway recommend this branch.
bought a car after nine months developed a oil or fluid leek still in its warranty phoned them you think it would be straight forward first of all they want money to even look at it after telling us they would ring us back still waiting for the phone call warranties are not worth the paper they are printed on.
Once again gone back to Tom at Westdrive at Braintree. Thanks for helping me in replacing my Rio, with another one as very happy with the car. Great service and extremely helpful.
