Wouldn’t recommend this dealership at all. Also wouldn’t recommend anyone going to look at the battered S3 they’re trying to sell. Ended up arguing over the return of the holding deposit. Trying to make excuses like ‘they never described the condition of the car to us’. What sort of dealership let’s your drive three hours without telling you the car is covered in dents, half of them on the roof somehow, chunk out of one of the alloys, stinks inside, trim pieces falling off all over the place and hasn’t been looked after at all throughout its life. The back light sticks out of the quarter panel, point it out and tell him it doesn’t fit properly. “Oh that’s because they’re aftermarket” he says. Well 1. You never said the car had aftermarket parts fitted prior to the viewing. 2. Why does the other one fit fine and that one not… so obviously the car has been crashed into before, not declared and now the body panels don’t line up properly. They went as far as to lock us in their compound until we ‘apologised’ to them… the audacity I know. We ended up calling the police which eventually meant they let us out. This was all while the little guy with big man syndrome was hurling abuse at us while we’re sat in the car. Jokes on them because they’ve just lost all their business from anyone that tries to buy a car via Zuto. Hopefully this review puts 90% of the people on Autotrader off as well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
So I feel like I got away with it (buying a car remotely) but only just.... The whole purchasing process was quite uncomfortable and unprofessional. Payment via whatsApp text messages, Debit cards or bank transfers only, had to ask (twice) for receipt/invoice.. Just seems a bit dodgy, but the car looked fab in the photos. In fairness they did MOT the car at my request, it only had 3 months left and I wanted some peice of mind... But there is a decent size dint in rear quarter the electric windows don't work, aircon doesn't work and leak on pipes at a repair cost of £500, clutch needs replacing so thats another £500, the seats and boot carpet had been dyed and its rubbed on stuff,... No warranty as high milage car so I knew I was taking a risk but do I think these are geniune honest people selling cars...NOT A CHANCE.... OK if you go and look at the car with a mechanic and absolutely go through it with a fine tooth comb then you might be OK...

You have consumer rights, none of those issues were your fault and you shouldn’t have paid to fix them... I purchased a vehicle from them in July 2021 and they said the same to me. Took them to court and got my money back. Every penny. We spent so much fixing up our car and it just kept on breaking. Dodgy people.

UPDATE This car has now (October 2022) had to have a new Turbo and timing chain and engine rebuild really all due to the fact the oil hadn't been changed in such a long time the pipes were blocked up, I had it serviced as soon as I got it. That was an additional £2000 spent on the car....
Part exchanged a car with them in July 2021. Not even a month later the gearbox broke and left me without transport to work and back, called wetmore and the owner was on ‘holiday’ and we needed to go through warranty apparently. Taken ages to get the car in at a gearbox specialist so purchased another car from elsewhere, but when we finally got it to a garage the warranty declined the claim. So it cost a lot of money to get the gearbox sorted. 10 days later we had another failure driving on the motorway the car went into limp mode, recovered and they couldn’t get the car started. They scanned it, and produced many codes and suspected the engine was out of time which isn’t a small job, the car now doesn’t start and is sat on our drive again. Called wetmore on Friday 12th November and the man who answered told us “the boss is in Dubai, I can’t do anything until he gets back on the 29th November” he then told us to text him the registration of the vehicle and he would get back to us, which we did, and on Tuesday 16th November I still hadn’t heard back from them. So I called again and the same man answered telling us the boss is who we need to speak to and there’s nothing he can do but leave us to wait, not even offering to look at the vehicle or offer some sort of support/resolution. I’ve also text their number twice and still haven’t received a response, yet when I was looking to purchase the car they text me back within seconds. Called again on the 29th Nov to be told they’re closed by the same very rude and unprofessional man, who then hung up on me when he couldn’t answer my questions. My friend called to clarify if they were closed and they said they were still in to allow collections of vehicles (so willing to sell cars but not resolve any issues they currently have), he claimed someone would call back the next day. Car was purchased on 26.07 and broke on the 22.08, fixed it ourselves when they offered no help and had it for another 10 days before it broke again. Currently taking legal action against them and refuse to give up. The amount of stress this has caused is beyond belief.

UPDATE!!!!!! I am the original reviewer. I took them to court and got every penny back!!! Ignore anything they say about “no warranty” LOOK UP YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS. Ring citizens advice they will guide you through step by step on what to do!! Report to trading standards and take them to court - you will not regret it.
Bought a car from them in November 2021, within a week it was in the garage and I was told it needed a new clutch, new dual mass flywheel and queried that the turbo was faulty. The cost of repairs is more than the car is worth. Attempted to get them to collect the car and issue a refund, they refused and made threats! Avoid! Since I purchased the car I have seen numerous reviews on sites such as Autotrader where reviews state similar issues- gearbox, clutch, flywheel, turbo are often mentioned. They have now been reported to trading standards. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Stacey Hughes in response to AVOID!!!
Hi I’m dealing with the same problem with a car they sold me - please email me on staceyleannehughes@hotmail.com - the more people that speak up about their corruption the better! I saw your other review on autotrader but there isn’t a way for me to leave a comment so I’m hoping you see this! So many people have had the same issue with them and I cannot understand how they’re still running!
