Bought renault espace 6 months ago from Wharfedale Motor Company. At the time it looked great. 2000 miles on ready for scrap yard. The stabilizer bar went at a cost of 170 pound. The engine is shot now at cost of 1.800 to be replaced. Stay clear.

As previously discussed with you we are sorry that after nearly 8 months (not 6 months) you have had a problem with the 2005 Renault Espace. Unfortunately with a car with over 110,000 miles on the clock and the condition of the roads, stabilizer bars have been know to fail due to poor road conditions. As for the engine being shot after nearly 8 months there is no warranty out there that would cover this due to the age and mileage of the vehicle. Again we are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and as previously stated please phone if you want to discuss further.
Shocking!!!! I phoned the dealer about a vehicle and was told it was available.... I said great i'm on my way explaining that it was a 65 mile journey and stating what time I would be there. I arrived exactly at the stated time 1.5 hours after the phone conversation to find someone else had just that very minute bought the car making my 3 plus hours round trip a complete waste of time and money. The dealer basically said he did not take the phone call. Apparently this is a good enough reason to just sell it under your feet. If i am honest he sounded unbelievably similar to the person I spoke to on the phone. SO unless you live on his door step DONT BOTHER.

I'm the owner of this business and have discussed this with our employee who sold the vehicle and can only apologise. In his defence he is instructed that any vehicle is still for sale unless a deposit is taken, many people do say they are on there way but never turn up. Again my apologise and sorry for wasting your time.
It was quite an odd experience but everything worked out in the end, when we arrived to pick up the car it was basically on fire, it had burnt out and was a total right off. We then arranged the purchase of a different car and it all turned out quite well for us. It was not your typical car buying experience but a good one nonetheless.
