One star for Whitestone staff courtesy and work done under the 3 month warranty. Unfortunately once that 3 month warranty runs out they don't want to know you, the car or the cars problems, not so courteous after the 3 month warranty period! The car I bought had a new clutch fitted under warranty and failed after 10 months/3500 miles. I contacted Whitestone, they didn't want to know and directed me to one of their trusted workshops who fitted the clutch 3500 miles previously. It took over 4 months over Christmas to repair and I am still having problems almost 3 months after getting the car back & with parts missing. Now the repairer won't communicate with me and Whitestone don't want to know. What a waste of 9k for a car to see me through retirement. Avoid if you can stand up for yourself. You can see what Whitestone and their trusted garage think of their customers in the reviews they reply to.

Very recently bought a car from Whitestone Garage. Excellent service & a pleasure to deal with. Mick went above and beyond! Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a reliable and reasonably priced car :)
Based on reviews looks like I am 1 of only a few thats had a bad experience with Whitestone. The car i bought started with significant suspension and engine problems shortly after the warranty ran out. After taking it into my local garage there report states someone has previously worked on the car and couldn't fix it so temporarily repaired it to trade it in, and hey ho!!!! yours truly ended up paying full retail for the car plus a £1500 garage bill. Now looking at feed back generally people have a good experience with Whitestone so just some advice if you are going to buy a car from this garage its worth having it checked to avoid all the aftersales nightmare i had with basically no resolve.

I am saddened to see your negative review Mr McEwan but there are two sides to every story, you contacted us last year to say that you had had your BMW into your local garage and they had tightened a bolt on the track control arm, this is not something that could be classed as significant suspension work and if you had contacted us prior to having the work carried out we would have had it done for you free of charge even though your warranty had expired,, it was not a fault that had been picked up on any MOT and you stated it may have been disturbed when the brakes were replaced prior to us getting the car but after contacting BMW I am assured that replacing brake discs would not involve any suspension work. You again contacted us in February 2021 many months and thousands of miles after the warranty had expired saying that you had sent your car in to your garage for a service and they had diagnosed an oil leak from the rocker cover and you had instructed them to repair it, during this work an injector and the rocker cover were alleged to have been damaged, obviously the car had been running perfectly for the 80000 miles it has covered and was running perfect when after purchase you had your mechanic carry out a terraclean and it was given a clean bill of health as it also did when it was independently MOT,d. You did send me invoices for the works carried out and you also sent the car into the BMW main agent for an inspection and aside from oil leak they gave a clean report which on an eleven year old four wheel drive vehicle is excellent, what you fail to mention is that despite being under no obligation whatsoever to do so l checked with 2 independent BMW specialists as to how much the work would have cost if we had it carried out, I then transferred that amount into your bank account as a sign of goodwill, the day after this money was paid into your account you took it onto yourself to leave this review. If you had contacted us prior to having any work carried out we could have directed you to the workshops that we use and trust to do the work at a fair price without carrying out unnecessary jobs, I also did not mention to you the amount of preparation and major expense we have incurred preparing your part exchange cars for sale, obvious faults being illegal tyres and worn brakes as well as other works that should have been carried out as part of routine maintenance, I don’t expect that you will transfer money into my account to cover these expenses? Again I am sorry that you feel the need to leave this negative review especially considering that although we didn’t not need to we gave you a substantial contribution to your cars running cost so many miles and such a length of time as our obligations had ceased.

Thanks for the war and peace responce to my review sir, but I am willing to publish all evidential photos and reports from BMW themselves and BMW specialists to substantiate my review, and like I said based on other reviews people have a good experience unfortunately I bought a vehicle which I believe the previous owner had significant problems with and decided to temporarily fix to trade it in and I bought it!!! Which happens, unfortunately I ended up with it and I believe although only just out of warranty your attitude to my aftersales questions were met coldly to say the least

Same here pal so your not the only one. Once that 3 month warranty runs out they don't want to know. As for the trusted repairer they sent me to, I wouldn't recommend they repair a push bike. Car went in for clutch work which took over 4 months to do and I am still having problems with it 3 months after getting car back. Now the trusted repairer won't communicate with me and Whitestone don't want to know.. What a waste of 9k for a car to see me through retirement. Avoid Whitestone Garage.
I bought an Audi Q7 from Whitestone 3 weeks ago I, found Mick was really helpful and was under no pressure to by this vehicle , I got a good price for a trade in and the Audi looked as good as it did on line . I would recommend buying a car from here as I found it hassle free and the service excellent, see you in couple of years Mick thank you from Jim
Chris and Mick are genuinely sincere in their approach to car selling, which is a rare find in the world of used motor sales. I found them to be entirely trustworthy, non-pushy and it is obvious that they source cars carefully. Before I picked up the car, Chris ensured it was fully checked, any niggles fixed and fully serviced. In my case it was merely a replacement bulb that was required and he kindly made sure the air conditioning was fully checked and serviced too. If you want to buy a used car with confidence and know that any issues will be taken care of, Chris and the team at Whitestone are a sensible choice. In future I will not be going anywhere else. I actually had two awful experiences with used car traders prior to dealing with Whitestone. One trader fraudulently falsified an AA inspection report and lost the V5, and another trader sold me a totally dangerous vehicle which clearly had been clocked. I have found Chris and Mick to be the total opposite to these past negative experiences. These guys know their trade and rely on repeat business. Here is a used car trader that is professional, trustworthy, sensibly priced and its all so refreshing ! Put simply, if you want to avoid unecessary hassle, the worry of clocked cars , dangerous defects and underhanded dealers, Whitestone is certainly the place to go. Proper chaps !
