Seen a car for sale that I liked in there.. had a look at it, few little bits that needed looking at, “don’t worry wel get all that sorted out”.. ok champion.. I’ll bring the car round for a test drive.. drove fine.. again couple of niggles “that will be sorted”... so paid deposit.. car will be ready to collect next day or two.. 4 days later.. collect car.. No fuel in it, bits n bobs that were supposed to get done hadn’t been done because they couldn’t justify the labour?! So met half way to get them addressed. Once money was sorted couldn’t wait to get you out the show room, never to hear from them again .. oh and as for their MOT’s the cars are provided with aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.. as I took the car for a pre test at a friends garage and there was a couple of bulbs out, and a few loose bolts!!!!!!! From work they had done, since owning the car I’ve had to replace several parts, but honestly not even worth the hassle dealing with these people. I’ve taken it on the chin and a lesson learnt!! wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!! And I certainly will be staying well clear in future.

Purchased an Audi TT today from Whitley Bay Motors in North Shields, dealt with Peter Fernie. Great experience from start to finish. No pressure, professional, helpful and honest....a refreshing change! The car was well prepared and very well priced, offered a test drive with no obligation and MOT'd the car for a year all in the price. Even taxed it for us before we left the dealership. A very positiive experience and at the end of the day you are buying a used vehicle...in my case for 10% of the price of the new equivalent model, so just be realistic in your expectations.

After buying from them in June 2017 I had to repeatedly return the car to them with problems over the next 4 months. I eventually got an independent inspection carried out and presented them with the findings. They took the car in again and carried out all the work - or so they said - which included new brake discs, pads, shock absorbers, etc. Surprise surprise 10 months later all of these things need replaced and guess what they never had been replaced!! Thanks Whitley Bay Motors for your lies - I now face a £500+ bill

Phoned up about a 1994 Audi coupe was told it was a lovely car as pictures showed , came 6hrs to get car was told it would drive home without a problem , I knew this was an older car ! Stopped for fuel 30 miles up road getting back in car noticed it had a flat tyre checked spare it was perished and flat put air in and went to get it fixed , went to start car to put it on ramp and it would not start no lights on dash after two hours the boys did not know what was wrong , phoned Peter and he didn’t want to know said he couldn’t shed any light on it , Not what I wanted to hear !!!!!! Take your money and stuff you , not even an apology had to stay in a hotel the night it had three illegal tyres all perished also flat battery!!!! And this had not long passed an mot , plus there own pre inspection test !! A totally bad experience I don’t no how garages get away with this nowadays if I had been stopped by the police I would have picked up nine points !

I bought a BMW 3 series from Peter at the vroom site and the service was fantastic. I viewed, put down a deposit and drove away within 2 days! Definitely would recommend Whitley Bay Motors.

After travelling a long way to pick up the car, and being assured the car was in 'lovely condition' etc etc, I have since had to pay out over £3000 pounds, for an entire new clutch system, new air conditioning condensers, the car needs 4 new tyres, the plugs have been changed, and the brake fluid had to be changed also. This garage are a joke, don't use. Since paying a specialist to look into the history of the car, it doesn't tie up with the fantastic report I was given from Whitley bay motors either, just shameful service to be honest with you.

So after travelling a long distance to collect my car from Whitley Bay Motors, and being told that it was a 'lovely car' and in perfect condition, I am now over £2500 out of pocket on repair bills. The car was sold to me with a completely ruined clutch, had to replace the entire unit, the car was sold to me with rubbish tyres, so there is another huge cost, no air conditioning, had to replace that and two new air conditioning condensers, had to put the car into the specialized dealer and a major service consisting of brake fluid change, and new plugs, there is another £770 pounds.. Avoid Whitley Bay Motors, they are a joke.
