Bought a 69 plate BMW 4 series X Drive and within 5 months experienced a break judder. Took it into a BMW garage in Warrington who explained that the break discs were warped and needed replacing which cost me £1100. Williams Manchester did not want to know as the breaks are not covered on the warranty. I have only done about 1000 miles since purchasing the car and I am convinced the problem was there when I purchased the vehicle. I even suggested that we split the cost but they did not want to know, Great service when purchasing from them but do not want to know when there is a problem.

Really disappointed in the service. I have sent an email. I have a burning smell coming through my car Paid £138 to be told it is from riding the clutch. The clutch seems fine to me and doesn't slip and my car runs fine. There is a burning smell coming through the air vents. I got told to keep driving the car even though I have children in the car. Clutch apparently causing the issue at 21k miles. Secondly. No communication to tell me my car was ready and I was almost liable for exceeding the car rental hours because they lied to me by saying it'll be fine. Would like this to be dealt with immediately please. Not happy the smell is still there coming through my air vents.

The place to expect to abysmal customer service is not BMW but that's what I have received from this branch. Total disregard for a customer, poor communication and left with a car they tell me is unsafe to drive but I have no options nor did they present any solutions. Here goes, you decide what is fair or reasonable... I got a recall letter to take my car for an inspection of the EGR if it met some conditions, it met them so called the number, no answer, sent an email and got a reply saying to book it in online which I did for the next available Saturday morning. I got an email confirming my booking for Wednesday 25th October at 10.45... No discussion or check to see if it suits, a lovely guy called, explained I could drop off before work at 08.00 and collect after, if it needed an EGR they'd have to order one in the rebook to have if fitted. Fast forward to tonight, the anti-customer service agent called my at 17.58 to say if the car needs an EGR after inspection tomorrow then it couldn't be released to me as its unsafe, no offer of a loan car while they fix their unsafe car on a product recall... This horrible individual then goes away, speaks to his manager and confirms the same story but adding that it will indeed need a new EGR, which he previously said is unsafe but happy I drive it around nonetheless! I now have a car they say is unsafe but I need it for work this week and the weekend and cannot not drive it! Totally disgusted by this situation, woefully bad customer service and I'd recommend anywhere else but these disasters!!

I recently purchased an 8 series from BMW Manchester (Trafford) and have to compliment the company for a first class service from start to finish. Adam Graham was the Executive who looked after me and whilst only new to BMW, he demonstrated a professional skillset beyond his time spent. From all areas - financing, communication, administration nothing was too much bother through to collecting the car. Additionally, my young son accompanied me when purchasing the vehicle and the extra attention spent on him made it a great moment for him too - thanks for opening up the I8 to let him check out. First class service, will definitely recommend Tom Ainsworth

Bought an audi Q2 from williams in April, developed a major fuel leak,,rushing to a local garage as advice was that it was dangerous to drive, costing me £1100 to fix, sorry williams said, your out of warrenty
Friendly and helpful staff. Both Greg on sales and Paul the manager made the transaction go very smoothly.
Drove 2.5 hrs to view a approved used BMW after being told the car I was viewing was in unmarked condition 7k miles on clock , quick to ask for reservation fee , I wasn’t offered a test drive found scuff on bumper was told they were not prepared to fix . I would have bought the car if it wasn’t for the scuff , I expected more from a main dealer bought over 30 cars and vans over 40 years and have never encountered such a terrible attitude and dealership !!! Be warned

Despite waiting over a week from the telephone call explaining the issue and a diagnostic being run still did not fix the issue. 1 call to bowler Blackburn and already further ahead than Williams. Don’t waste your time using manchester!

Called up Williams’ service dept to trace some service history for a BMW 1 series, I had been given the date of the cars visit to Williams by BMW UK, all I needed to do was find out the mileage so I could record it in my duplicate service book. Apparently they aren’t allowed to give this info over the phone so they gave me an email address to talk to instead. After emailing them, they responded saying that I had to pay a fee of £64 just to find out the mileage of the service because ”this is due to the amount of time spent historically by our service advisors in dealing with such requests that inevitably involves time taken away from our retail customers“. Nice to know these guys only care about their customers if they’re interested in buying a car. Absolute joke.

I brought in my BMW 3 Series for a "major service" worth £389 and left the car there one full day. When I went to collect it, they told me all was perfectly in order so I pay the £389 and leave. On the way home, two warning lights come up for 2 separate light bulbs. These warning lights were there when I left the vehicle, so the technician must have just ignored them. After £389 you would expect it to be checked and if needed, replaced. Today I had to take a few hours off work to go and complain about this issue and expect it to be resolved on the spot. BMW's response is: sorry sir this needs to be investigated further, you can book a new appointment in over 1 month's time! And of course, I would be charged for the "investigation" and the bulb if needed. Not to mention I'd have to take a few more hours off work. Highly unprofessional, you would not expect this from a luxury brand, or is it?? I will no longer service my car at BMW, it is just not worth it, Williams and BMW just lost a customer.
