Awful experience. I would not recommend Williams BMW. I was mis-sold an 'Approved Used' BMW, and it has been a nightmare ever since. After purchasing on July 2024, I discovered that the car had been in an accident before with the previous owner, which was never disclosed to me at the time of sale. I only found out about this through the MOT history and due to faulty front parking sensors, which were flagged by a Sytner BMW technician at London. The previous owner tried to do a botched job of fixing the front bumper after the accident. They informed me that accidental damage isn’t covered under the warranty. This is absurd, how was this not identified during your so-called “Approved Used” checks? Why is this vehicle even classified as "Approved Used"? Whoever repaired it didn't fit the parking sensors back correctly as they are misaligned which is causing the intermittent issues that I am facing. This isn't covered under warranty according to them. Investigating this myself, the MOT history says this vehicle was previously involved in an accident. In addition to this, several features of the car do not work, and these issues aren’t covered under the BMW Warranty either. For instance, the previous owner caused liquid damage to the interior buttons, and the Wi-Fi hotspot feature doesn’t function due to an electronics or battery failure. None of these faults were disclosed when I bought the car. Even the Sytner BMW service manager acknowledged that these problems should be addressed by the original dealership where this vehicle was purchased, yet nothing has been done. To add to the poor experience, the car wasn’t even cleaned or valeted before collection. Despite purchasing extra services like extended warranty, alloy and wheel protection, and GuardX treatment, there is no proof the GuardX was actually applied. I made an official complaint to both Williams BMW addressing to Chris who is the used car sales manager, and BMW Head Office but have been ignored. If this situation isn’t resolved, I’ll have no choice but to escalate it to The Motor Ombudsman. Can you explain what checks were actually done to classify this vehicle as "Approved Used"? Based on my research and enquires, this vehicle is nothing more than "Used,". I travelled all the way from London to Stockport, trusting that I was buying a vehicle that met BMW’s "Approved Used" standards. Instead, I’ve been deceived, and to buy a decent vehicle that matched my specifications. To add insult to injury, when I pointed out discrepancies regarding another vehicle images listed on BMW’s website with different mileage and specs, I was reassured that this was a minor issue and the CarPlay was rectified. But now, it’s clear that this was just another example of the deceit I’ve encountered. But I shouldn't have to deal with this. This entire ordeal has been an enormous waste of my time, causing significant inconvenience, stress, and frustration for me and my family. I am shocked and appalled at the level of service I’ve received from what is supposed to be a reputable dealer. This feels like a scam, plain and simple. The entire point of buying from a BMW dealer, especially an "Approved Used" vehicle, is to avoid exactly this kind of nightmare. I trusted BMW to provide a vehicle that had been thoroughly checked and was in good condition—clearly, I was wrong. This is a clear case of mis-selling, and I expect immediate action. God knows what other issues I may find out in the near further with this vehicle which was present before purchase, and which isn't covered under BMW warranty. Furthermore, I’ve had to take time off work to deal with this mess and ongoing stress. The vehicle will be out of action when it goes in for repairs, causing further inconvenience. This has also caused me and my family stress and its depressing knowing we got scammed. When the repairs does commence, this will also result in taking time off work and car being out of action for a few days at least.

Popped into the showroom with my partner. Lisa was extremely helpful and showed us how to download the BMW app, which was fab! She helped us sort out our key. We also got a cheeky coffee to takeaway, really impressed

All well on good taking your money and making finance proposals, but when you ask for something simple as making up private plates so you can put them on when v5 comes in, it’s I don’t think we can do that. Cut things short, found a better deal else where and now not willing to unwind the finance proposal as it’s 3rd party finance company although been told by finance that I cannot unwind it and that it has to be dealer. I have not seen this car except from photos/video and within cooling off period of 14 days, and haven’t accepted delivery of the car. Will not be looking to purchase a car from here again.

I've purchased a car from Williams Stockport BMW recently. From the very start up until car collection I was looked after by Ali. He handled the work very professionally and were always very prompt with replies to any of my questions. You are a credit to your company. Once again many thanks I could not be happier with the customer service I've received. Probably the best car dealership I've come across so far and I have delt with a few in the past. Highly recommended!
Travelled 7 hours to collect a 640d PK64RVT from Stockport, after being told there was no evidence of accident damage or paint repairs by Mark the sales manager, when i was eventually presented with the car, the drivers door is nearly yellow, when the rest of the car is white, even a passer by said, the car was bad, the manager wasn't really bothered, just said nothing he could do, so i left it there, back on the train for another 7 hour journey and £200 worse off. Abysmal service for a main dealer.

Took car in for BMW recall on egr cooler fault but was faced with additional costs associated with problem - egr valve also needing to be replaced but not free of charge. Bill came to £284 not including parts which BMW paid for. Was not able to get any assistance from sales staff despite all problems were associated with recall. This car had just 9500 miles on the clock - purchased just 12 months previously from this dealer but dealer refused to accept that selling this car with a known recall was anything to do with them. Would not use this dealer again.
I am totally surprised by the other reviews. I bought my 1 series from Williams Stockport who were competitive and professional. All the servicing on my car has been carried out by them also without any issues , they were even the cheapest when needing two new tyres. All the staff are very pleasant and more than helpful.

My Z4 was booked in for "recall" rectification work. On returning to collect the car I was appalled at the condition it was in. The roof wouldn't operate - somebody had moved the luggage cover back - why would they go into the boot ? The handle on the luggage cover has been broken. Computer display turned off. Drivers seat - every adjustment changed. Trip computer zeroed - why ? Fragments of copper wire and bits of old cable on the carpet under the glove box. Manuals folder left on the passenger seat - why we're they looking at that ? Why wasn't it put back where it was ? Absolutely dreadful experience. I WILL be writing to BMW head office about this - AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!
