Would you like to spend £150 to test drive a vehicle? Then head straight down to Windmill Autos and have the time of your life my good friend! Bunch of jokers - never heard anything like it! We drove over 1 hour to check out a car at this dealership, after checking the vehicle out in the car park, we asked for a test drive - we were then told we must pay a £150 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT due to the "current circumstances" not allowing them to be in the car with us during the test drive (HAHA!). But get this if you were able to find an issue with the car during the test drive ,then you would be refunded (oh how kind of you Windmill Autos!!). Their reasoning was if you were willing to test drive the vehicle, then you were clearly ready to purchase the vehicle immediately and therefore paying a £150 deposit to test drive a vehicle would be no issue at all!!! Not like test driving is a key process of evaluating whether you like a car or anything - of course not!!! After laughing off this delusional proposition by the Windmill Autos staff member, we decided to leave and were pleasantly (and quite angrily) told that they "sell over 30 vehicles a week mate" and "wE dOn'T nEEd CuSTOMers liKE YOU!!!"" Oh I'm truly so sorry we're not a bunch of mug punters willing to pay £150 for a measly test drive - I do apologise Windmill Autos! But we sincerely wish you all the best in the future with your very innovative business model.

Test drove a Jaguar xf on Friday at windmill autos, pm to salesman id be back to buy it first thing Saturday morning when i got there hed sold it from under my nose !! I have one car from there never again
Today I went to collect a vehicle I had paid a deposit of £250 without going into details the car had various problems including a mot that was not listed on dvla . I was not able to test drive the car prior to deposit but was assured by the salesman that if I was not satisfied I did not need to buy the car but had to sign a paper, he said was just a formality. I did start the car stationary and said it had an exhaust problem I was assured it would be fixed before my collection. I needed a car today as a community carer, I took the car for a test drive today the day of collection got 100 ydrs the front wiper fell off, The exhaust was still blowing , I went back to the garage with the car. When I viewed the car the guy could not get it out so I did not entirely see the wheels and the sales guy did admit this. All the three of the four alloy wheels were badly scuffed. I queried the exhaust it was taken to a workshop next door where 3 mechanics were and they put the car up on a ramp, the back exhaust box was loose and very rusty have photo. Told the salesman I did not want to go ahead he told me that I had cost him because he had the car off the market but he had said to me when it would be ready for collection so any delay his fault, also told me I could decide whether to have the car or not, Then today said deposit not returnable. Was personally abusive to me my daughter . These people behaved vile. This sales man threatened me and my daughter, I am reporting them to trading standards in the hope that I can get my deposit back, The car was priced to be perfect for its year etc so all faults should have been taken care of
Got car off Windmill Autos in April car broke down a week later with clutch problem they had it straight back and fixed within a couple of days it’s been a great car since very happy with the way it was handled great service
Stay well clear of Windmill Autos, got a car on finance nearly two months ago. The car looks good on outside at first but there was a few problems that was supposed to be done when I picked car up, but wasnt carried out, took the car back to get repaired got given a courtesy car that broke down and went into limp mode on A1M. Took this car back and picked mine up took it to another garage to get checked and there was so many faults on the car, bad tyres etc I contacted finance company and garage and still awaiting for them to pick up the car after arranging it a few times now and nothing seems to be happening. Iv wrote letters I'm now proceeding to take them to court and also get the car checked over again as it looks like the car has been damaged on closer inspection. Absolute robbing scumbags stay well clear!

I can only comment on my experience which was fine. I purchased a car and I really appreciate the unpressurised service I received. The car was ready on the day agreed. Great service by Adam and Andy at Windmill Autos.

Brought my car from Windmill Autos, problems for start,car losing oil first day!few days later car repaired but covered in oil inside and out, the mechanics not using seat covers!!still waiting for the phone call with apologies Mr.audi q5.
if you have a problem with your car the staff at Windmill Autos are dismissive, rude, aggressive and unprofessional. Only After the threat of court action and an in dependant inspection did they finally take notice and try to resolve any issues. if you do buy a car from these guys and have any issues do not be bullied by them hang in there stay calm.

People have a different meaning of standards, said on the phone "cars is perfect" travel for 4h in 1 decided to not buy - Rubbish. definitely not buying from them !!!!!!!
Please read this before buying any car from them, ok so I bought a car from them for 6k after 500 miles there was a faulty clutch and leaking steering rack I got 2 reports from two independent garages I've I saw car from underneath and seen a leak, so I phoned them back to say what's happening they acted friendly saying "bring the car back to us we will sort this out" so I did after a few days I got a phone call saying that there is nothing wrong with the car there is no leaks and the clutch its fine which it's was just a lie so I got a bit upset and said that I'm going to pick car tomorrow, day after they saying that yes there is a actually the leak from steering rack and they going to refurbish the rack cause a part from dealer its not available until November another lie I phoned the main dealer and the part was available in 2 weeks they just lie on every step I've just agreed to get it refurbished and then after they had my car for almost 5weeks I got phone call saying my car is ready so I went to pick the car up, they said they did steering rack and the clutch but they had no invoices or report what has been done they just said that this will be send via email which has never happened I picked my car up scratch missing indicator broken locking wheel nut strange metallic noises from underneath car flashing air bag light and the clutch sticking to floor be aware people this was disgusting experience all they say is that everything is fine and the job has been done properly
