The worst experience I've had in 15 years of buying cars! Noticed mechanical fault the day after buying, Windmill Motors boss wasn't willing to contribute towards Mazda diagnosis (recommended by 4 local mechanics), wouldn't put anything in writing when warranty co said it was likely they wouldn't pay out, said was my responsibility to return car & suggested driving 300 miles with noisy timing chain! So facing a potential £1000-1300 of repairs to a car I had only just bought with 4 1/2 days annual leave wasted & @£200 down the drain the car was returned to them on the back of a breakdown lorry. The boss' son was pretty helpful but the whole experience & dealing with the boss himself was a total nightmare. I would NEVER use Windmill Motors Ltd again and would most definitely NOT recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. As a long established, reputable family run business we take all customer comments on board and use them to monitor and improve our service levels. You stated you took your vehicle to 4 mechanics but you failed to provide a report from any of them to confirm any issues even after numerous requests to do so as you are not local to us. You also had the option to open a claim with your warranty provider as you were under the premium level of cover valid at any VAT registered garage. Again they cannot proceed with a claim until you have had it diagnosed as to what the problem actually is. They would have also covered your diagnostic charge. We checked their system and no claim has ever been logged. We also gave you the option of having it brought back to our dealership for diagnosis and a repair (with a courtesy car provided) if a fault was indeed found which again you also declined to do so. In the end, after trying to assist you in every way possible we decided to reverse the deal in full for you and even covered the cost of a full tank of fuel.
