I ordered a Cupra Born back in October 2022. Since then, WJ King Bromley's customer service has been non-existent. I have received no news or updates on progression of order that I've not had to seek myself. I have been repeatedly ignored, my emails remain unanswered, over the phone I've been assured that I will be contacted back multiple times and not once has it happened. This lack of communication applies to both the salesman working my case and the management that I attempted to elevate the issue to. A recall was issued on my car after production two weeks ago. No explanation or specific information was offered, nor any updates sought by WJ King after the fact. I emailed yesterday asking for an update, I was told I would be updated by end of day, and here we are at end of play the next day with no response. At this point I am strongly considering dropping my order in spite of the fact my car has been built as I do not wish to deal with this dealership for my contract term. If I do drop I will be utilising the multiple examples of negligence and unprofessionalism sat in my email inbox to seek the refund of my deposit. I am typically a soft and patient customer. I understand fully that a recall is out of the dealership's control. What I object to is the negligence and utter lack of communication. I suspect that the dealership would not have followed up on my case at all until prompted, that the case has not progressed over the last two weeks, and as such any progression that could have been made by a competent dealership has been wasted. I strongly advise shopping elsewhere.

Bought a car from these People that had several faults coolant, clutch and non road worthy and customer service from tynley road appalling but welling dealt with some of the repairs but still having ongoing issues with the cat and the rude, ridged and no accountability about the dodgy car they’ve sold me

Reserved a car with W J King, paid the £99 deposit and arranged to go the next day to buy. Someone else turned up and they sold my car to them even though I had reserved it and paid the deposit. Don't trust this dealer they cheat their buyers and the reservation system is a lie.

i own a 1 ltr turbo new shape astra 16 plate du16 xhr / iVE ONLY HAD THE CAR 1 YEAR!. i took my car to a independent mechanic because a engine management light has come on the mechanic told me youre engine is fine youre turbo is faulting you need a new turbo , so i took the car the where i purchased it from wj king bromley , they then charged me 120£ to lift up the hood of the car and tell me what was wrong with the car , the service team said your turbo is in fine condition you need a brand new enginge which will cost you 4448£ and have to pay 2370 deposit straight up from for parts which i couldn't believe and ive never heard of before ,so i paid the 2370£ deposit on the Saturday April 24 2018,they said the parts will take 2 days to arrive and the car would be finished Friday 29th april, on the Thursday i got a call from the service team to say your car is looking good and will be happy for you to pick it up Friday , on the Friday on my way to collect the car they then rung me and told me your car is smoking you need a new turbo and you have to pay another 1300£ and were not guaranteeing you that you wont need a new exhaust , they then pretty much told me to pay the rest of the money and get it of there forEcourt without any grantee on the engine, i have never been so furious at a company that i trusted and put my hard earned money into to , they didnt contact us for weeks and when they did they contacted me to say where charging u 25£ a day for the car being on there property, AT FIRST THEY TOLD ME WE HAVE QUOTED YOU 4448£ AND WHEN THE PROBLEM EVOLVED ON THE FRIDAY HE SAID NO IT WASN'T A QUOTE IT WAS JUST A ESTIMATE I BELIVE THIS MAN IS A LIAR AND A THIEF AND , no one deserves this he hasn't been helpful in one way shape of form he hasn't tried to make a deal with us he has just said take it to court , if i could go back in time i would of never gone to wj king bromley service department i feel like they are not professional enough to be diagnosing peoples cars. i advise people to go someone else

I have been taking my 51 reg Fiesta to King's in Bromley for a couple of years now and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. Despite the fact that the car is probably not worth any further repairs they always treat me as though it's a new vehicle. Richard, the service manager has always taken the time to explain what does and doesn't need doing and will source the best parts giving me value for money. My car is also usually cleaned for me when I go to collect it. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

WJ King Bromley delivered probably the worst service I have ever been to!! My car is 4 years old and I have always been taking it to service in Chingford but as I have reallocated it was no longer convenient for me so as the Bromley one was the nearest one I have taken it there for oil and filters changing. I would like to mention that I have never had any problems with the car in another service. So oil and filters has been changed everything seems to be OK I also had some problems with battery and alternator(as they said) but after few hours ride the card showed that the engine is overheated and I couldn't start it.So I had to pay a recovery to bring it back to the service where I have been told that the level is fine and they fist need to change the alternator and the battery so they can carry on and they gave me price of 844 £ when I said that I should better take it to the other service because seems like they can't find the real problem from 844£ the price dropped to 630 £ !!! WHY??So I paid a recovery again and took it to the service in Chingford what happened next is even more exiting...Forgot to mention that I paid for oil and filters 240£. So from the other service (thanks God I took it there) informed me that the alternator and battery are fine the problem was with some connections and cables which they fixed... The most interesting thing is that when in W J KING have been changing the oil the have OVERFILLED IT WITH OIL AND BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN RIDING THE CAR FOR FEW HOURS IT HAS DAMAGED THE INJECTORS So lets count it a bit ... I paid around £200 for recovery service +£240 for oil and filters + £700 for injectors and oil change in the other service + waste of time (over a week) = £1 140 !! NEVER EVER AGAIN IN W J KING !!!!!!

Only reason I've selected one star is because there is no option for 0. Do not go to the WJ King Bromley branch. Also good luck trying to call them. The receptionist always says "All our team are busy, let me take your details and a message and I'll get them to call you." I always call back after waiting at least an hour, because they don't call back. Their only concern is that you buy a car. Bit of a story; Took the car in on 13th March due to a squeak at the front and to enquire about a possible recall on the car. When I enquired about the recall, they instantly said "No, there is no recall." Not "Oh I see, we will look into that for you sir", or a "We had an Astra customer enquire about this the other day and there is no outstanding recall". That was just the start. Took the car in about 3 weeks before the 13th for an engineer to hear the squeak, but because they had no courtesy cars, had to wait. Fine, had no choice. Got a phone call saying it was an anti roll bar link and will be done the next day (14th March). 14th March, no car, they tell me they don't have the part, waiting on Vauxhall. 15th, call saying still waiting on part. On the 16th they call me at 4.10PM saying they're going to get me a hire car through Vauxhall warranty claim, should hear from Vauxhall within the hour. Gets home at 5.50PM, nothing from Vauxhall. So I call the garage back asking what do I do now? They said "Theres nothing we can do I'm afraid. It's Vauxhall's fault." So I ask them how they can get me to work the next day, maybe pay for a taxi? "No we can't do that, it's Vauxhall's fault." So no apology, no help. I ask the same question on the next the morning, still no help at all. I had to pay £25 for a taxi to get to work. If they had have called me earlier on the 16th, I wouldn't have had to shell out the money for a taxi. On the 17th, I get through to someone at Vauxhall. Super helpful. Got me a hire car within a couple of hours delivered to my work and I was sorted for a while. No update from the garage between 17th and 21st. They called me on 21st saying it was ready. I said brilliant, I'll pick it up at the weekend. "Oh no you can't collect it at the weekend." I said "why? You're open on Saturday?" He said "Yeah but we don't do customer collections at the weekend. And you've got 48 hours to return the hire vehicle." I was busy on the 22nd so couldn't collect it. So today (23rd), I went to collect my car. I parked the car up where I could, got to reception and someone took my details and got my car out. Another guy said "Your car is outside." I told them about the hire car and said that Vauxhall said the garage and Vauxhall will need to deal with it. He said "Well not necessarily. We don't have to deal with it." Bit of an attitude. I said "well they said to leave the keys and the garage should deal with it." He said "Right, are they picking it up at 12PM? Because you might get a ticket and its your responsibility." I said "I'll let them know but the car is in your control now, Vauxhall told me to hand the keys over." He said "Okay fine. We'll see." Not "Oh I see, you can park it in our car park and we can just hand it over.", just pure bad attitude, not caring at all and not putting the customer first. They knew about the hire car so why didn't they even mention it when they called me saying it was ready. Just a little "Park it in our car park and we will sort it with Vauxhall." The main person I dealt with was Robert Copeland, who also said he would send me a report the day after they diagnosed the fault. Still waiting for it. To top this all off, I haven't got a report on what they done to my car. They could have done anything. I can't condemn WJ King Bromley enough. The customer service is atrocious. They don't care, they don't take responsibility for anything, they don't help you. I would never recommend going to W J King Bromley. I actually would advise against it. You'll probably find that they are super friendly when it comes to selling cars, but once they've got your money, that's the end of the friendliness.
