After needing a car almost instantly back in November I went straight to Woodstock Car Sales. After a good chat with Rich he understood my needs, my budget range and exactly what it was I was after. He showed me around a number of cars they had in stock and after a test drive and a thorough look around, I decided on a 3-Series BMW. Knowing I needed a car urgently the staff bent over backward to ensure I was able to pick this up within the timeframe required. With the age of this car in mind (15 years old) I have had absolutely no issues what so ever and will certainly be returning when I look to upgrade this in the coming months! I WOULD SUGGEST WOODSTOCK CAR SALES TO ANYONE!

It’s all very well and good advertising top spec cars at top end money, but the attention to detail at this place is awful as was the attitudes displayed. Upon pulling into the Woodstock Car Sales car park I noticed that sales cars on the forecourt were filthy. The vehicle we came to see was depicted very well, but had around £2500 of damage and cleaning required to make it worth the asking price. When asked if the vehicle could be roadtested, the salesman pulled a funny face and asked how interested we were in buying the car. When an offer was made reflecting the issues found with the car, the owner told us he didn’t care if we bought it. Although the car was inside, it was still visibly dirty with dirt around the inside of the rear wheel arches. Also, the dealer owns the car personally and “wants a profit” on it too. Typical dodgy car dealer!!

I am always suspicious of Anonymous reviews as they tend to elaborate on non-factual information and untruths. And make the process of reviewing information almost impossible. However, I am fortunate enough to remember our dealing with the “Anonymous Reviewer” on the day he came to view our vehicle, so I shall address the raised points and hopefully clear a few things up. Unfortunately, mother nature is against us currently, being in a rural setting we are susceptible to dust from fields and nearby roads during this spell of warm weather, that coupled with the light rain we experienced the night before, vehicles that are displayed out side were indeed not up to our normal standard. This issue was rectified later that day. And I would like to apologise to our valeter for the cruel way’s that mother nature treats his hard work. The vehicle “Anonymous Reviewer” had come to view is indeed used and not brand new and to return the vehicle to a standard that “Anonymous Reviewer” would personally deem acceptable (please bear in mind we are referring to a 22-year-old vehicle) would indeed require monies investing to return it to a factory fresh standard. With this in mind the vehicle is priced accordingly. A brief search of Autotrader will in fact show that the vehicle is the currently the lowest priced for its, make, model, age and mileage in the UK. “Anonymous Reviewer” adopted the buying tactic of, suggest “possible” issues with the vehicle, take a deep breath, think of a figure that it will cost for rectification, say said figure out aloud followed by a loud exhale of breath so that he can knock the price down. And then suggested on several occasions that it’s “not the vehicle he wished to purchase” this did leave me surprised when he suggested that he should drive it anyway. (I can only apologise if my surprised expression is that of a “funny face”) Therefore, I felt the need to raise the question, of how interested he was in purchasing the vehicle given his previous comments. The low offer made for the vehicle based on the “issues” which is subjective in itself, again surprised me (I clearly didn’t show it on this occasion) As “Anonymous Reviewer” is based in the motor trade I would have thought he would have a clearer understanding of what to expect with a 22-year-old classic vehicle as opposed to the expectancy when purchasing a brand new vehicle. And that brings us to the final comments of us wanting to make a profit on a vehicle that we sell. As “Anonymous Reviewer” sells cars for a living himself I would have thought the requirement to make “some” profit to pay overheads, staff etc when selling a vehicle was obvious, and requires no further explanation.
I can highly recommend this car dealer. In fact, I have never written a review before but am so happy with their service that I wanted to make an exception for them. I bought a Porsche Cayenne from this dealer roughly 6 months ago now and have been delighted with both the car and the service provided by the car dealer. The team at Woodstock Car Sales are very friendly, never pushy, and clearly take pride in offering a great service - and great cars. Everything was prepared for me, they serviced the vehicle before delivery and even put a new set of brakes on when they found them to be a little worn - all without me asking and all prior to handover. Since owning the car I've had one small problem (coil packs) which they helped me have replaced under the very good dealer supplied warranty. A great experience from a great car dealer. I always keep my eye on their stock in case something else comes up that takes my fancy, and would definitely buy from them again. Dealers like this should be celebrated and supported. Buy from Woodstock Car Sales with confidence.
