I wrote a review earlier today on Autotrader which was part of the deal for purchasing a car through North West Auto Traders. I went onto Auto trader to update the Review to follow up on my dreadful experience however you have to wait six months before you write another review. I appreciate its very wordy but makes a good read: Negative: Arrived on Saturday midday appreciate this is a busy day, however I was looking for someone to assist for 30 minutes, finally found someone told them the car I wanted to look at. He advised he would go and get the keys and be back in 2 minutes, 20 minutes later was still standing around waiting. Positive: Finally got the keys and liked the car, dealt with Adam in the sales team very helpful and pleasant not pushy, I have purchased the car at a fair price and am on my way to collect, will provide further updates once in receipt and having driven the car for a few days. Update to my fair and honest review above regarding North West Autos Blackburn which I posted earlier today I honestly did not expect it to be like this: Part of the deal for the car I was buying for my son’s birthday was that they would provide 6 months warranty if I wrote an honest review across 3 platforms prior to collecting the car. When this was discussed with Adam the salesman, I was told that they wanted truthful feedback even if it was negative. I received a call this morning to say that the car was ready for collection this afternoon 23/07/25, whilst on the call I asked should I not write the reviews once I have collected the car !! I was told I could not get the warranty until I had posted 3 reviews on different platforms, so I posted the review earlier/below which is an honest account of my experience up to that time and as can be seen is not entirely negative in fact is more positive than negative. I travelled from Carlisle to Blackburn by train, once at the North West Autos car showroom I was told by Adam the salesman that the co- manager of the site wanted to speak to me. He started talking about reviews and how it affects business, and the sales staff need positive reviews after a couple of minutes I asked what is this all about ? In a nutshell North West Autos were not happy with the reviews I posted even though they were the ones who asked me to post them!!! and I was told the owner of the garage doesn’t want to sell you the car anymore, so I was refunded my deposit. So not only have I wasted an afternoon travelling from Carlisle to Blackburn and I have wasted 60 pounds on train tickets these people have completely ruined my sons birthday. I am sure that there will be a response with their side of the story however what I have posted here is 100 percent accurate and anything they say to the contrary is bare faced lies. No wonder they have ceased to be part of automobile ombudsman since March 2025 !!!! Please avoid North West Autos at all costs !! R.Hillsley

AMAZING service!!! I will be honest North West Autos we’re my second choice of dealership to come to to look for a new vehicle. My son was really nervous buying his first car and we needed all the help we could get- luckily we found a very accommodating car dealership there is- which is very hard to find nowadays. We mainly dealt with Dean and Will, from the bank of knowledge Dean has to narrow down the perfect car for us to Wills effort to move everything out of the way & get us coffees- I cannot fault these guys! We looked at a 2007 Golf TDI. It was presented very well and we were given ample time and distance to have a look and we decided to do ahead after a test drive. There was a slight rattle on the drivers front, however the vehicle is 18 years old and these are to be expected. Even so the team assured me this will be sorted out after the MOT is done. The stock these guys have is phenomenal, every car is presented with showroom quality, whether it be a £3000 Golf or a £30,000 Range Rover. The offices are clean and the team present a very warm & welcoming environment to anyone who walks in. We will be picking up the vehicle on Friday, I cannot wait. It is such a relief to find a dealership that shows real care and comfort to its customers- credit to you guys!! Thank you 👌👌
