I purchased two vehicles from Stoneacre Lincoln Volvo, and both experiences were plagued with technical issues, dishonesty, and incompetence. My recent ordeal involved the Financial Ombudsman securing a refund, but it’s the pattern of negligence that’s most striking. The first car had persistent issues, including a crunch from the rear that caused a loss of electric drive. Stoneacre dismissed this and a misfitted bumper, which they didn’t fix before reselling the car. I had also requested the removal of the ‘Polestar Optimised’ package due to higher insurance costs. Despite assurances, the package was never removed. They also forgot to supply a charging cable, requiring a return trip. When I left a middling review, I received an aggressive and angry call from the sales manager, Brett. Despite these problems, I stuck with Stoneacre for my next purchase—a new Volvo S60 T8 Ultimate on a PCP finance agreement.. The car arrived with incorrect floor mats for a left-hand drive vehicle and a blank Pre-Delivery Inspection form, indicating no proper checks. Within two months, the car began losing drive power intermittently, shifting into neutral while driving. Stoneacre’s attempts to diagnose and fix this were futile. On June 13th, despite claiming they had worked on the car all morning, the GPS tracker showed it hadn’t moved or unlocked. They eventually replaced the Battery Electric Control Module (BECM) and claimed the issue was resolved, but the problem reoccurred soon after. Additional issues surfaced, such as a rattling door speaker, a misaligned charge port flap, a popped-out headliner, and 12v battery warnings. On my way home from yet another failed diagnosis attempt, the car lost drive power again, making it unsafe. Brett blamed my driving style and refused to allow me to reject the car or have it collected for inspection. I had to call Volvo breakdown services for recovery instead. I then initiated the rejection process with Volvo Cars Financial Services and filed a formal complaint with Stoneacre, which was ignored. After the car was recovered to Stoneacre, I had to chase them for nine days for a courtesy vehicle. Stoneacre then claimed they test-drove the car and found no issues, but the GPS tracker and odometer readings proved otherwise. They backtracked and promised to have an employee take the car for an extended test drive, but again the trip was much shorter than promised. Stoneacre ultimately gave up, leaving me no choice but to collect the vehicle. I then installed a GoPro camera to record the fault. Finally, after catching the fault on camera, an independent inspector confirmed the vehicle was faulty. Despite this, Volvo Cars Financial Services refused my rejection claim, stating they had a right to attempt repairs. I escalated the issue to the Financial Ombudsman, who ruled in my favour, allowing me to return the car. Despite this eventual resolution in terms of the vehicle, Stoneacre has never acknowledged or apologized for their conduct. They almost never returned calls whenever promised and were just generally terrible once you've signed your money away, and the entire experience means I'd thoroughly recommend anyone avoids purchasing a Volvo, and especially having any kind of dealing with the Stoneacre group. I’m sharing this detailed account to help other potential customers avoid the frustrations I’ve experienced. My hope is that Stoneacre will take this feedback seriously and improve their service for future customers. Shockingly, the faulty car is now back on their forecourt for sale. Given their past behavior, I doubt they’ve genuinely repaired it. If you’re considering buying, or have already bought, the 2023 Thunder Grey Volvo S60 Ultimate T8 with ‘midnight zinc’ wool interior (license plate FX23 MUB), I strongly advise against it. If you’ve bought it and discovered its faults, please contact me and I'll do my best to provide the evidence you need to fight Stoneacre for knowingly selling you a faulty vehicle.

I can only state that my experience as a 'one-off' customer at Stoneacre Volvo Lincoln, was exceedingly poor. The reason for this is primarily the limited and brusque respond to my initial concerns over an issue with my wife's car. At this point let me be quite clear, this review is not about any work done on a vehicle, rather, what appears to be an indifferent attitude towards a paying customer. It most definitely felt like that once a payment was made – any kind of meaningful dialogue was quashed. In its place were ‘off the shelf’ sound bites that were, in my opinion, used to close-down any further dialogue. In ending this review, I feel that what I experienced at Stoneacre Lincoln was almost an unhappy caricature of what one ‘fears’ when driving onto the forecourt of a car dealership. Please note, I have had to tick 'vehicle clean and vehicle good value for money' as I could not submit this review. These two ratings should be discarded as they have no bearing on why I have written this feedback.

Went to look at buying a car from Volvo, they didn't have the car in stock we wanted, but Tom P looked at other branches for us. Excellent, helpful, professional young man. Tom I wish you well, thank you
Had booked a service with them, after the receptionist had a disgusting behavior having the impression she's the top of her world, refused to take the car in for service even on my app is saying 14:00 she claims she rang me a while ago and I agrees to come with 30 min early ( what I do not remember off), however being there 12:40 was still not acceptable for her rude and incapable behaviour. Never again, I'm looking to sell the volvo as sell

Having travelled several hours to what I thought was a reputable dealership, I purchased and was subsequently the proud owner of a blue BMW M5. During the 4 hour drive back home the car revealed an issue. Pulling over immediately I contacted the dealership and they told me to carry on my journey and call the extended warranty company. Explaining the issue, the warranty company declined the repair. I have my suspicions that Stoneacre Lincoln knew about the issues and was hoping to pass the repairs on to the warranty company. At my time and expense, the car was returned to Stoneacre Lincoln. They had the car in for repair twice, a total of 12 weeks, and proclaimed they did not find a fault. Unwitting to acknowledge these faults, the vehicle then received two independent inspections. Both of the independent inspections noted significant faults, however Stoneacre Lincoln refused to acknowledge these results and I was still unable to get refund after 4 attempts of asking. Refusing the overwhelming evidence against them, out of sheer frustration and disbelief I took my case to the ombudsman service for review. The ombudsman service ruled in my favour. Due to Stoneacre Lincoln’s inability, incompetence and stubbornness, it total it took 18 months. Within only 4 days of receiving the car from myself, Stoneacre Lincoln had it back up for sale at a premium price with no mention in the description that any work has been carried out to fix the vehicle.

Eamonn Hayden in response to Horrible experience
Worrying to see a pattern of reselling known faulty vehicles without attempting repairs.
Good afternoon I would like to make a formal complaint against the service I received from Volvo in Lincoln. My partner and I went into Volvo this morning to look at buying a Volvo XC40 which was a big deal for me as I would have been moving away from having Audi. We got a quote which we were happy with, we added the extras that I didn’t have on my Audi and as we were buying again from new I wanted a couple of extras. One of your service man who would be putting the final quote together came to speak to my partner and I asking why we we wanted to know why we were asking for a rough quote on the Audi. His opening line was “ anyone one can get a quote for your car by using one of these” (showing us his mobile phone) not very appropriate. Then he said to us “can I “CHALLENGE” you as to why you are putting all these extras onto your car when, you have a STANDARD Audi Q3 Black addition” Why do you want leather seats when your Audi only has material seats? Really does he have a right to question why I wanted leather seats in the new car. I found this very rude, insulting and disrespectful to both my partner and I. One we should never have been questioned why we had added the extras onto the new car, as this was our decision. Plus he didn’t know our finance situation and this him questioning us was humiliating. I have always bought new cars and added to what I have. He said maybe I used the wrong word, and tried to apologise when the damage had been done by insulting us and then degrading the car I already had. I will never ever buy a car from Stoneache Lincoln ever and I will be letting friends and family know how we have been treated by this gentleman. I would recommend that he needs further customer service training. I’m very disgusted by his attitude and his hurtful and disrespectful comments. No one should be CHALLENGE as to where we wanted the car with extras that we wanted and would be buying. Regards
Went to view new Volvo today and not impressed with sales person who really wasn't interested in showing us around the car we liked, not even move it to try air suspension for disabled wife which was on a slope! We were going to purchase outright, but it seems not really bothered in selling cars? Not happy with Stoneare Volvo in Lincoln.

Especially Jed Tribe and Daniel Burn has been very helpful. I booked the vehicle little while ago and Jed has been answering most of all the questions very patiently and calmly. I have booked two vehicle with him and he has been helpful with other products too. Daniel has really good subject knowledge and has been replying all the emails when he is available. I got my car 2 days ago and very great experience so far since last few months from the date I have booked the vehicle. I hope to receive this same kind of great service in future too. Thank you Stratstone Volvo Lincoln. Vimal
