I paid in full for the vehicle and waited patiently for them to …More 4 Dan Wright a month ago AVOID AT ANY COST! WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD PURCAHSING ANYTHING. I bought a black Audi A4 KM18LYD as soon as I got home it home i noticed it was leaking oil. I rang up the following day to be told I could not return the car beacuse I had signed to say the car was in a good condition when I bought it I had weivered any rights to a refund. I was then told to take the car to any VAT registered garage and have them diagnos the problem. I did they reported that the car had the gear box out of the car and possibly a new clutch but it had been done badly as all the bolt were damaged where they had put the gearbox back in. They also confirmed the car was leaking oil and was not in a fit state to be on the road. I reported this back to Vincent at affordable cars who told me this wasn't good enough and I needed to get a SCOTIA report done as they have consumer rights and the car was in fine working condition when I was sold it. I paid £200 to get my own report done as I was told driving the car would do further damage to the vehicle and Vincent said I had to drive the car 60 miles back to the dealership so they could do a report on it but they would have to do there own examination first and the whole process would take up to 2 weeks. The report confirmed that the car was not road worthy and after 6 weeks the thrid party finance company arranged for the car to be collected and returned. Affordable Cars they tried to claim I had damaged the car even though the damage was kn the car when I bought it. Luckily I had taken videos of the car before sending it back which proved that Afforabke cars had tried to worsen the damage on the car when it was returned to try and claim damages against me. These guys are crooks and should not be trading they polish the cars up to hide damage and will try to charge you for it once returned. They have also put the car back on their website within 2 weeks of it being returned so I highly doubt they have addressed any of the issues with this vehicle reg KM18 LYD. If you do decide to use these guys make sure you take photos of the car before it leaves the forecourt of any damages so cant be held responsible at a later date. And you can get your own report done on a vehicle by an independent Assessor which can be found on the motor ombudsman's website. You can also get free legal advise from Stormcatcher Law would highly recommend.
