Hi Andrew, sad to see a 1* review from you when every effort was made to sort your issues. You contacted us with an issue with your Volvo and asked for our warranty information. I informed you that the warranty was with ourselves. We don't use third party warranties on our initial sale as we include a free complimentary 3 month warranty which we manage ourselves. There are many reasons for doing so. We cover your car bumper to bumper so we can ensure you have the best cover possible on your new car. It removes an intermediary from the process meaning we can get your car fixed much quicker. We also prepare our cars to a really high standard before sale so the actual number of warranty claims we have are extremely low. From our initial discussion it sounded like a parking sensor was required, but without diagnosis it wasn't 100% clear. As you only lived 10 miles away from us I suggested that you came and made use of our workshop that we have on site and we could fix the problem the very next day. We have an excellent mechanic on site who is extremely competent with over 20 years experience. We are also able to get most parts same day as we have a large network of part suppliers locally. You were insistent that the vehicle was looked at by Volvo direct and nothing less would be good enough. I explained the process and how we operate the claim. We offered for you to take it to a much cheaper independent dealer local to your home and get a quote for the repair, and subject to it being reasonable we would cover the cost. You again declined. We exchanged multiple emails trying to resolve this issue but unless we gave in to your demands you weren't happy. Eventually you took the car to the local garage and had the work done and then presented us with a bill, even though we did request an estimate so we could ensure it was fair first. None the less the work was actually fairly reasonable and we transferred you the money to cover the cost of the work. You later contacted us about a fault with the door lock, which you just took upon yourself to have repaired and merely sent us a bill and asked us to pay. Despite this we still said that I would have a look at the invoice to see if it was fair and reasonable and if so would again transfer the balance. Like most sales where warranty is involved there's a process that we need to take to ensure a fair outcome. On this occasion I feel like we did the very best we could to assist you and you have had the warranty claims paid for. Sadly you were very difficult and incredibly rude to us so it made the process much harder. Hopefully you can now continue to enjoy your new car.
