I bought a 2013 Golf 1.2Tsi through this dealership. I discovered unfortunately that one tire had a slow puncture, and I was advised by multiple sources that all 4 tires needed replacement. The dealerships reply was that the car had passed the MOT a year earlier and that they only trust their own opinion and so I should have driven the 55 miles to run it past them. Also, despite being assured it had a full service history with VW, it became clear the previous owner had not followed through on any recommendations around replacing timing belts, brake pads, brake fluid etc. No response from the dealership when querying this. So ultimately the car has cost me £1500 more than I bargained. Clearly I am aware I should have known to check all of these issues before purchasing, but the lesson is this is not a dealership that will alert a prospective buyer to these concerns. Be aware.

Dear Darren, I am first of all deeply sorry that you was not completely satisfied with your purchase from ourselves. Just to touch upon the points you have made in your review. The reason why the sales team did not get back to you is as you know we have been abiding by government legislation with COVID-19 and had to be closed with skeleton staff. You had contacted us a month later from your purchase date to say you had a slow puncture.Now from the point of sale and the first initial contact it is very likely you picked up a foreign object in your tyre which had cause your puncture which we had explained to you on the phone. You had not told us you took it to "multiple sources" you had told us you took it to a kwikfit local to yourselves and they had recommended 4 tyres were to be changed. When we had asked a health check report to be presented which is standard procedure for kiwkfit you could not present us with it. Furthermore the car had a independent MOT from ourselves 2 weeks prior of the sale in the best interest of a unbiased test. The tyres were not mentioned. The maintenance of the car was up to date on the point of sale of the vehicle. Which obviously makes it go without saying that the new owner of the vehicle will be responsible for the future maintenance of the vehicle. As we have a on site fully fledged service centre on site we ensure that our sales customers are very well looked after and have heavily reduced bills in future maintenance required. The service was excellent, John was very helpful. Communication was made easy each time i rang i got a response that i needed. There was a good variety of cars to choose from, the guys were all very friendly which makes it even a better experience. Once i chose my car an MOT was done on the very day.

I purchased a Vauxhall Astra from Balham Cars in May. The dealers were very helpful and able to answer my questions, The car was pretty clean and in good condition, it has had in issue with the water tank but after a few trips back to the dealership this has now been sorted and the car has been running great since. I would recommend this dealership.

I bought a Fiat Qubo back in April from here. The service was very nice, the salesmen were all very helpful and friendly and the car was in excellent condition and matched its description. I thought the car was very good value for money and I would happily recommend Balham Cars.
