Would never ever recommend. Had car 3 years. Serviced every year with them. Oil xaused a hole in engine and was told there was nothing they would do. Absolute disgrace. Whats the point of a yearly service if they do nothing when you have a problem

I would absolutely avoid this place if you have the option! My car was recovered as a break down 5 months after purchase. I had an issue with a fuel leak which was diagnosed within 10 mins of a very helpful member of the RAC. Within the first 2 weeks of hurst having my car I was not contacted once I then had to ring asking for an update to be told it hadn’t even been diagnosed by themselves yet! More days went on and still the same I explained to them that I work as a health care assistant and I’m out of a job so long as they have my car. I don’t think they really cared to be perfectly honest! They did not order the part needed until 3 weeks into having my car. When I rang on week 4 as they still to this point never contacted me once on their own accord I was told the part arrived the day before. I asked could it be ready by Monday as I’m out of work a month now and just a month to go to Xmas with no wage coming in over this! I was told no that wouldn’t be possible. I rang on the Monday & was told the car would be ready Monday evening, 4 o’clock comes on Monday and for the first time I get a phone call from them to tell me they’re waiting on another part and it still won’t be ready!!! Next day came and again nothing from the company to even say how long it would take now to fix, when the part would arrive etc absolutely no communication this whole ordeal has left me extremely stressed!!! I eventually got the car back today and was told upon collection “sorry it took long but at least we got there in the end”. That was all. Laughable if you ask me. This whole ordeal has been shocking & disgraceful! They should be embarrassed to have a customer waiting this long on a fuel rack being replaced it took a total of 37 days!!!! Joke that an establishment like this is incapable of completing tasks in an appropriate amount of time, no sympathy, consideration or empathy did I experience with this company I will definitely not be using them again

I went in and had Michael deal with every aspect of me trading my car in for a new vehicle. He talked me through all the options available to me without the hard sell. He was extremely helpful and polite making me feel relaxed. In my opinion he went above and beyond what would be expected of sales staff even with his aftersales care continuing to help me and answer any questions I had. Michael truly deserves a promotion or pay raise as I was very impressed as other dealerships I went too including ones within the Charles Hurst group were nowhere close to being as helpful and courteous and tried to hard sell me stuff.

Car purchased Nov 22, broke down March 23, bought breakdown cover within original purchase, RAC had no details of, had to get dealership to ring them, courtesy car was meant to be delivered next day, to be told was not booked and could not be delivered, yet sent a confirmation email stating this was happening. Following day courtesy place refused to give automatic car as Peugeot not willing to pay for it, even though I drive and automatic! Promised to pay for travel expenses for the day of breakdown, it’s been 23 weeks now and still no sign of it. The bottom of the car fell off not long after the break down, told me I would have to pay for replacement and in the meantime it is held on with cable ties!!! Because that’s how you fix a car right??? There was a droning sound in the car from purchase I kept on about but they couldn’t fix until I returned it with video footage, replaced front tyre saying was possibly the low tread on it. Booked a service and mot online received email confirmation. Called 2 days later to be told date not available and it was not confirmed as they have to call to confirm. Told that the MOT would not be the same day and that I would have to take it myself to the MOT Center (this is their hassle free service by the way). If you are considering going any where near them do not! Their after care does not exist and indeed should be called “sorry do we know you, we got your money so you no longer matter” After being a loyal customer purchasing 3 cars of them along with family members I do not know what has happened but my family and myself will no longer be using Charles Hurst. Note too they never call you back you are constantly chasing them.

Where do I start, Took a trip to Charles hurst Toyota today to look at a Rav 4. You shouldn't pre inform a dealership as you should always test drive from cold so you get a true representation of the vehicle. Firstly I should say that I turned up at the old location which was getting refurbished and tarmac laid and they were operating out of the van sales location round the corner. I was however glad I did as I saw a Landcruiser sitting in the middle of this mess with the engine split, exposing internals to dust and dirt while tarmacking was going on. Nice little pic for the collection and a bad sign if this is the level of care they take with customers cars. Anyway, back to the story of woe. Wife asked for a test drive and the sales assistant made a big deal of how they were so busy with customers and the car had only just returned as other parties were looking at it. I had noticed the tyres were cracked, the brake rotors were rusted and there were cobwebs on the wing mirrors which to me didn't quite fit with what she was saying but hey ho lets see what the car can do. She gets in to pull it out of the tight corridor of other parked cars and click, click. Yes, not enough power in the battery to start - looks like someone was telling porkies about prior interested parties on their test drive. So next we have another sales rep quickly scurrying up with the jump starter to get it started. By this point my wife, my child and myself had wasted around 20 minutes on this clown show to finalise. The female sales rep then commented how this was common for hybrids to do this??? I told my wife to do the test ride and I was going to mind the child as I didn't have a booster seat handy but the sales rep said she did not accompany on test rides. The wife expressed concern of what would happen if the stop-start killed the engine during the test ride and the car would not restart. The sales rep brushed this concern off as stupidity with an eye roll and said the car was going and wouldn't be an issue which I didn't quite understand the nonchalant attitude as I thought it was a valid concern. In the end I did the testride by which time I was in rush-hour traffic so only got around the industrial estate. Upon returning to the dealership I was forced to waste more time to get someone to talk to. I ended up getting a young man who did seem surprisingly helpful although the dishonesty continued when I asked how long they had the car to which he replied a month although the service history showed it had been on the lot around 2-months so it clearly wasn't as in demand as had been made out. I offered £27K for the car that was 3.5years old and was £34K new. A fair offer especially considering what I saw but Charles Hurst clearly like profiteering as they seem to think the car should only lose a thousand per year despite talking about "ethical pricing". Never seen a place like it. Will be walking into Mazda who are quite happy to sell me a new jeep cheaper than what Charles Hurst are looking for a rusted second hand one. Do yourself a favour and shop around.

"Charles Hurst Landrover never again"

Purchased a Landrover discovery sport from Charles Hurst Landrover. Timing chain failed(with no warning) after 74000 miles causing engine failure leaving me stranded on dual carriageway. The repair cost £7000 and 3 months duration. If only I had read the reviews I would have realised this was a common failure. The car was serviced and maintained per manufacturers schedule. Charles Hurst profit from these failures and customer pays. A timing chain should last car lifetime or at least 120,000 miles. Buy a Kia ( not from CH) as they offer 7 year warranty and are reliable. Never again Charles Hurst LR.

"Where do I even start??"

where do I even begin??? I'd give them 0 stars if I could.....I've never experienced service like it, nor will I ever again! The biggest problem was "miscommunication" or as most of us would call it LIES! Ordered a new electric Kona told 12weeks worst cast scenario 24weeks due to backlog of deliveries. The date kept moving further and further away, I was constantly having to chase for updates. I was finally told my car was fully built in Sept and would be on the boat 1st Nov, phoned a few days after to be told my car hadn't even be manufactured and wouldn't be until mid Dec. Complained to both the dealership manager and to Charles Hurst overall customer service director to be fobbed off, told there's nothing they could do and that they don't have courtesy cars, despite a friend who'd been in a courtesy car from them for 3 weeks at the time. Tried to find an alternative with the director with a different brand, she got the hopes up for a resolution, but it turned out she couldn't even relay simple correct information to the other brand manager who wasn't able to assist due to this. She then never returned any calls or messages obviously knowing she'd made a stupid error with it all. Went to an entirely different dealership my new electric vehicle was handed over within 2.5 weeks after a test drive, they even offered to deliver to my door almost 70miles away from their dealership. Order cancelled with Charles Hurst Hyundai but it took 2 calls, 2 messages and an email to finally get them to cancel the order. Reading a lot of the reviews across the various Charles Hurst pages this diabolical standard of customer service seems to be the norm.....it's a NO from me thanks.

What an incredible experience at Maserati Belfast! Words can't describe how well me and my parter have been treated while buying our second-hand 2018 Ghibli! Richard Montgomery is a true gentlemen and he's gone above and beyond during the process from the beginning to the end. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and hospitable. We are based in Bristol, England and Richard made the distance buying process a breeze. We've received great service and had some great conversations along the way. Thank you again Richard!
