Bought a vehicle 3 months ago. And had nothing but trouble with it since purchasing the first 6 weeks it spent more time back the garage than it did with me, iv had a new clutch, an intake valve, brake pads and discs, a new radiator and stereo in the time owning the vehicle. Just isn't worth paying the low price when you end up spending hundreds out your own pocket to repair the car straight away anyway.
Avoid excellent cars Sheffield at all costs! I went for a test drive, and while the showroom was nice, the experience was far from it. The car's age was misrepresented—it was actually a 2012 model, not a 2013 as advertised. The mileage was also inaccurate, and they even used photos of a different car in their ad. The entire process felt uncomfortable and overly pushy. Don’t trust a word from Noel and Dave; none of the information they provided was accurate.
Fantastic sales team brilliant customer service. I highly recommend this company.

Avoid at all costs, absolutely cow boys. Sold me a car on the two weeks ago and told me it was driving perfectly with no faults it was just a part exchange car etc. 8 DAYS after buying it I got a gearbox fault that is gonna cost nearly 2000 to fix. They prey on vulnerable customers, wasted 16 months of disability money to buy a piece of crap I can’t drive. It wasn’t the car I originally went for, I called for a different car checked it was still available, got told yes for them to let me test drive that one to dealership to tell me it was £3000 MORE. Everyone should Google the company instead of trusting the auto trader reviews cause they clearly get them fiddled.
AVOID this dealership. I Purchased a Peugeot 3008 from Noel in February 2024. I requested for the vehicle to be delivered to me (100+ miles away). I had spent a long time looking for an automatic car local to me- they do not exist unless you are happy with very high mileage or have a large budget! I completed a video call with Noel on a Saturday where he showed me the car, stated there were no issues at all, commented on the perfect bodywork (no dents, scratches or imperfections) told me how the interior was ‘pristine’- this was a car that had been well looked after. As my previous car had been written off in an accident, my hire car return date was fast approaching and I urgently needed a car. Noel mentioned the dealership usually works on a 7 day turn around for vehicles but he would do everything he could to get it to me by the following Friday (6th day from purchase). I then paid a £500 deposit for the car. After a few messages over the next few days regarding MOT/ Service/ Delivery the delivery was confirmed for the coming Saturday (7 days post purchase). Noel confirmed the car would be put through an MOT which would be advisory free (as it shows on the MOT website). I took delivery of the car on the Saturday as promised. The first thing I noticed on the car was the big dent on the driver side back panel. The delivery driver was lovely, told me not to feel rushed checking the car over, to take my time and if I had any issues to contact Noel to sort. Here were the issues with the car on first check: Heads up display did not work (this was a major selling point for me) Rear view mirror seriously unstable (after further inspection the mirror had been totally ripped off the windscreen which left a gaping hole in the glass- non repairable!!) Damage to the bodywork around the boot area Dashboard warning light- parking sensor fault (intermittent) *These are things I contacted Noel about, however there have been some further issues. Upon contacting Noel, he was straight away very defensive. His rely to my message was “This is why I insisted (he didn’t) you came to the dealership to view the car before purchase” Now, the imperfections of an 11 year old car are not my main concern, had I gone to look at the car and saw the bodywork I probably still would have purchased it (had these been the only ‘faults’.) My main issue was the HUD not working and the Windscreen. Noel insisted I return the car to him in Sheffield (I am based in the North East) so they could take a look - this is not something I am able to do. I work full time and have 2 young children, this aside, however, it would have been very dangerous to drive the car for 2+ hours at motorway speeds given the state of the windscreen (with my children also in the vehicle) I obtained quotes from local companies to come and replace the windscreen- Noel didn’t like this idea and said he would need to speak to his ‘boss’ Noel wanted me to claim on my car insurance for the windscreen - luckily I don’t have windscreen cover! Finally the dealership agreed to pay a portion of the windscreen replacement as long as I signed a contract to state I would not go back to them regarding the other issues (I had verbally agreed that I would sort the other issues out) I reluctantly signed this contract as I felt pressured to do this, otherwise I would have been left stranded with a dangerous car. I then received a £350 ‘refund’ from the dealership. The ‘freebies’ you are supposed to receive- 3 months tax and Sat Nav are also non existent. As previously mentioned there are further issues, mainly with the ‘pristine’ condition of the interior - it is definitely NOT pristine and there are things broken that I need to replace. Also, this car should never have passed its MOT given the fault with the windscreen- had this been checked properly (it was clearly visible when looking at the area from outside of the car) it should have failed the MOT and ‘Excellent Cars’ would have had to replace this prior to delivery to me. Because of this I will also be formally reporting their MOT centre to the DVLA. Noel tries every excuse in the book to get away with things, especially when he thinks the customer ‘doesn’t have a clue’. Thankfully I did, and I knew my rights. Reviews that I had seen on autotrader were fine, but now having looked at other review sites, there are a lot very similar to mine. Have they possibly manipulated the autotrader reviews to make themselves took good? Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT buy from these, do not buy from this dealership.

In regards to the dealership stating they have less than 1% bad reviews I find that very hard to believe. Take a look at trustpilot. I struggled to find a good review on there! The only places where you will find good reviews are their own website (not a surprise) and on autotrader which I highly suspect have only been received on the basis of bribery.

Buyers beware! I bought a car from this garage in March 2022, I had issues from the moment the car was delivered, tried to contact the garage with no response, the car was constantly in the garage with issues and cost me a small fortune! I paid well over the odds for the car so I was sure that the car was clear on all checks which the garage assured me, I have just come to sell the car and have found out that the mileage was clocked back prior to me owning it which has left me no choice other than letting it go for scrap value, £5000+ wasted! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Wish I had read reviews before going here, although I didn't end up getting the car. We had poor customer service from this place even during the purchase, so we decided to back out. After this we got threats of legal action and costs which weren't explained clearly when signing agreement, although they are there in print. Everything seemed ok at first, sat down after choosing car, paid deposit and signed agreement. The day after the finance agreement deposit was completely wrong and we tried to call for 2 days to sort it out, but no one was there to help. They just kept saying call back. They eventually tried to contact us 5 days after but by then we had changed our minds due to poor customer service. The correct finance amount came through a different company eventually without them informing us they had sorted it. They then started kicking off as they said they had got car ready, even though we had not accepted the finance agreement, which seems odd to me. They are now demanding £500 on top of deposit of £100 I paid, as it's in the small print of the agreement or we take the car. Funny thing is it says pay in 7 days or our legal team will be contacted, yet they don't tell you how to pay it, this is how poor they are! I had a few words with the person who wrote the letter and explained why we backed out. As of now he is going to call me back after talking to staff. Not sure what about though. End of the day we backed out due to poor customer experience. Even after paying £600 for nothing I still saved £1500 getting better deal through Bristol Street Motors due to the APR. Also got piece of mind as their customer service has been excellent. If they can't provide a good experience selling then I hate to think what the after sales would be like.

If your desperate for a car. Brought the car through car finance so only had the photos to go by on there website. They said I had to wait a week so it can go for an MOT and valet. Not to sure about the valet. Fag burn front passenger seat and two in the headliner. Aircon wasn't working so payed for a regas and pollen filter still not working. 12volt in the front isn't working sweats stuck under front passenger seat. Lots of marks and damage to the front grill, was told I would receive £45 for the 3 months road tax but never received. No jack, part service history. An it says free sat nav but none of that. Cracked rear indicator, plus looks like the drivers side door is bent with a gap. Alarm doesn't work. Little overpriced but needed a car for work. Ps the headliner is filthy and stained.

Please do not buy a car from here. I now release why they are reluctant to let you test drive cars before you buy. They want a £500 deposit to hold the car, without even testing it which they then tell you is non-refundable when the car is ready to drive. We bought a MPV which all the pushy sales staff gushed that it was a 'lovely car to drive'. When driving the car home it felt like manoeuvring a tank around corners, the steering was so stiff however I put this down to the car being bigger than I was used to and carried on. In the last 3 months of owning the car it has been into the garage at least 5 times costing nearly £600 plus another £1000 in other work which we just cant afford to have done. The DPF filter is constantly clogged and the car is in limp mode more often that it is in 'normal' drive mode. Various engine management lights are always on. I took the car back to the dealer in the first 3 weeks after it went into limp mode for the first time, they advised to take it on a longer run every so often to clear the DPF (again, I have never driven a diesel so went with their advice). Trying to merge onto busy roads such a motorways in limp mode to try and clear the filter has put me in dangerous situations a lot of times and we spent 15 hours trying to get the car home from Newquay in limp mode where it wouldnt go more than 50mph. We are in the process of having the DPF filter cleaned by the garage (another £350) and our mechanic also said the whole driving rack needs replacing (which is causing the stiff steering issue), the amount of repair works the car needs is more than we paid for the car. The dealer also says they carry out a service before you drive the car away and has the cheek to log this in the service book. Its all lies, our service light came on shortly after buying the car. We did an oil drain and oil and air filter change and its the dirtiest filter our mechanic has seen in years so this obviously wasn't done by the dealer. I no longer feel safe or comfortable driving the car and wish we have never stepped foot inside this place.
