Brought a BMW from joff at Finlay Gorham. Supposedly in very good condition. Has gearbox faults, engine faults, wiring faults. Brake line not attached to car. Also has tar in bottom joints from bottoming out. Do not recommend this dealership at all. I'm £3000 out of pocket. Please beware. Ken

It's hard to explain just how unsatisfied I am with this dealer. Firstly I would like to point out that this is a Porsche garage but I bought a VW Passat estate. Ive had no end of issues with it so far, 10 months on I'm still fighting to get them to fix the problems with the car. On leaving the dealer I tried to open one of the rear windows with no joy, I could hear the motor running and thought id just sort it myself as I'm fairly handy, I took the door apart to fund that the mechanism to move the window up and down was gone and had been replaced by a bit of wood that was jammed in to keep the window from moving. Then I found that the brand new tyres were winter tyres and made the whole car vibrate, so I had to replace all four. Then the brake disc light came on the dash and they told me that as it hand new discs and pads it must be the sensor and not to worry, they would sort it when they fixed the door. I have now found out that even tho they told me it had 12 months MOT it actually had 10 and is now due one, I only noticed by chance. I've berm trying to get the car sorted through the dealer by being a half decent person to no joy, it's my strong advice that you do not purchase a car from this dealer a VW or a Porsche.

This was a 200,000 mile £1500 car that we had fitted a replacement engine, clutch, turbo and tyres new tyres, we had no idea the rear window didn't work but paid the £ 30.00 for the new regulator. We were not involved in the Australian business other than being an investor, not realising the problems until too late to get out, in spite of trying to change the way it was being run, and lost all monies in the process. A very bad mistake on our part.

We had no idea the window was propped up, and this was £1500 worth of low priced Passat estate at the time, after we had spent a couple of thousand sorting engine, turbo and brakes before selling the car. We did supply the new window Reg. The car was sold well under market value and was a good car generally all round.
