I rarely leave negative reviews, however I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with GKS Car Sales. I purchased a vehicle which developed faults almost immediately after collection. After ongoing issues and failed attempts to remedy the problem, the vehicle was ultimately rejected and refunded. Whilst the refund was eventually processed, what has followed since has been nothing short of exhausting and incredibly frustrating. The biggest issue relates to the extended warranty and associated Bumper finance agreement. Despite the vehicle being returned and the sale effectively unwound, I am still being pursued for the remaining balance of the warranty agreement. What makes this even worse, in my opinion, is that the warranty policy was apparently used to fund repairs for faults that were clearly present at, or developing from, the point of sale. In other words, I have effectively been left paying for a warranty that helped cover repairs which should arguably have been the responsibility of the supplying dealer in the first place. I appreciate this may be common practice within parts of the motor trade, but from a customer perspective it feels completely unfair and represents extremely poor customer service. A consumer should not be left financially liable after returning a defective vehicle. I am desperately trying to remain calm and resolve matters professionally, however the stress and frustration this has caused after already having to reject the vehicle has been unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from GKS to fully understand exactly how any warranty products and finance agreements operate before signing anything.

Marek, I am disappointed to read this review as I do not believe it presents a fair reflection of the full circumstances surrounding this matter. When issues arose with the vehicle, we worked extensively with you in an attempt to resolve them. Paying for all main dealer costs to ensure the vehicle could be in the best place for repair and offering a courtesy car throughout. Ultimately, when matters could not be resolved to your satisfaction, we accepted rejection of the vehicle and provided a full refund.. What is particularly disappointing is that following the resolution of the vehicle complaint, you confirmed acceptance of the outcome and left us a 5-star review thanking the business for the support and assistance provided. It is only following a subsequent disagreement regarding a separate warranty finance agreement that these 1-star reviews have appeared across multiple platforms. You are entitled to your opinion, but I believe anyone reading this review is also entitled to understand that the vehicle was refunded in full, additional goodwill payments were made, repair costs were covered and further financial contributions were provided by GKS in an effort to bring the matter to a conclusion. You were not requested or made to pay for anything throughout. Vehicle issues can unfortunately arise in the motor trade. What defines a business is how it responds when they do. In this case, we accepted the rejection, refunded the vehicle, covered costs and made additional goodwill payments despite having no obligation to do so. The full team here did everything we could for you. As people can see from our other reviews across platforms we pride on customer service and we aimed to give you the best service provided. Whilst it is clear we have very different views on this matter, I remain confident that GKS acted fairly, professionally and in good faith throughout.

Julie Hocking I was looking for a Ford BMAX as I now own three dogs so the sliding back door was a must! Elliott found me a 2016 BMAX, complete with City Pack so has reversing parking sensors and electronic folding mirrors which are essential driving to work in Ermington from Ivybridge. I part exchanged my car (which I purchased from GKS) and drove it away last Thursday, I am so pleased with it, it didn't come with an owners manual but Elliott got me one from Ford which I picked up the next day, so could see how to open the bonnet!! I would highly recommend the staff at GKS of Ivybridge, very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

At the end of 2016 I traded in a BMW 3 series convertible against a Mercedes C class estate which GKS of Ivybridge had on Autotrader. The sales people I dealt with there were very professional at every stage of the negotiation. The trade-in price they offered was very fair and there was none of the usual sales nonsense you get with many car dealers when trying to close a deal. I have bought a lot of used cars over the years, mostly from the usual suspect German Main Dealers as part of their "approved used" schemes. I can say that the sales team at GKS were more professional and easy to deal with than 90% of the sales people you meet in the expensive showrooms of the German manufacturers. I would definitely buy from them again without hesitation.

I was attracted to this garage and dealership because they had the vehicle I was looking for in good condition second hand. So it was a welcome surprise to receive excellent service also. Elliott was extremely helpful - doing a full clean up job on the car even after I'd agreed to buy and put down the deposit. Very happy to have found them.
I was very happy with the service at GKS Of Ivybridge, they were all very friendly. I had a small problem with the drop top roof and they sorted it out no problem, they called me back within minutes and delivered a courtesy car to me as I live quite a way away from the dealership. I haven't got a single bad word to say about them.
