I purchased my first car from Junction 17 in Peterborough and it's the worst mistake I've ever made. They saw an 18 year old with her heart set on an Audi and I feel they took advantage. The salesmen know nothing about the cars, my dad asked one of them a question about another on the forecourt to be told "I ain't got a clue mate". I had a phone call 2 minutes before the car was due to be delivered to tell me it wasn't ready and I wouldn't get the car that day. The next morning we spoke again and they said it'd be ready for 10 am. I arrived to pick it up (they didn't have the staff to deliver as prior arranged) at half 11 and it still wasn't ready. They pushed me to sign paperwork and hand over the money which I refused until they presented the car. Stone chips hadn't been sorted as they had promised, but I ignored this as it was minor. The salesman proudly handed over the MOT certificate, when I asked for the refusal from the previous day he came up with several excuses as to why he couldn't get it and would post it to me, but I insisted that he gave it to me before I left. One of the reasons for refusal was pitted/ worn front AND back break discs, I saw that the front had been done so left it at that. I later realized that the back ones hadn't been done but weren't even an advisory on the passed certificate. Within a couple of days the car started going into limp mode whilst driving, I returned the car on 5 or 6 occasions during the 1st month warranty period but they were unable to detect a problem, all I got was Ian's famous "5 more minutes love". The car appeared to be wobbling all over the place, so I took it to a local garage to find out that one of the ball joints was not even attached and the tracking was miles out. I'm shocked that one of the salesmen/ mechanics at Junction 17 drove the car in this unsafe state and told me that it felt fine. On top of this, they advertised that the cam belt had been done, but I then discovered that it was overdue to be done so had to foot the bill for that myself (still under warranty). The last time I spoke to them on the phone about the limp mode problem (turned our to be the turbo) they told me I was making it up and they didn't believe me, obviously failed to notice the constant loud whining noise and that it goes into limp mode during driving. After that conversation I decided to email them so any contacts were in writing and they chose to ignore me. The turbo has now completely gone and is costing me almost £1000 to have fixed. I'll be taking this further and would advise anyone to stay away from this car dealership if they are looking to buy a car.

Same issue the car is currently looking at £2100 repairs within the first two weeks I owned it, has taken over two months to get anywhere with it, now there is a suspicion there may be more hidden issues. Not taking the risk and now going through a long return procedure currently have no car to drive, customer doesn't come first here!
My experience was really very good. I was made to feel welcome and given space and time to look over the vehicles. The showroom was clean and well presented with a surprisingly wide range of cars. When I wanted assistance I was met with polite and friendly staff who were interested and attentive. The atmosphere was light and relaxed and I test drove 3 cars before making a purchase. My visit was based on a recommendation and I would happily do the same myself. The whole sales process was quick and easy in a way that reassured. I don't normally like car dealerships but I trust the service and would definitely return to Junction 17 Cars Peterborough.
My son and I went to look at Nissan 350zs and BMW Z4s. He owns a Prestige convertible already and was looking to upgrade so we drove up in the soft top. As stated by many people we were treated like a couple of tyre kickers, no test drive without a deal was the response from the salesman whilst most of the other salesmen were outside smoking. Not a good impression and given that my son had a 5 figure sum sitting in his bank, they just lost a potential return buyer. It obviously depends who you see as the reviews are polarised, however anyone worth his salt should talk to the buyers before making snap judgements.
We had a very pleasant experience right from the off! The moment we walked through the door just browsing, to leaving with the perfect car. There were no hassles, no hard sales pitching and the staff were very friendly and courteous throughout. We have since been back on a couple of occassions just to look at the cars and always met with a friendly greeting and coffee (which in itself is fabby!). Would definitely use these guys again and recommend them to anyone looking for something a bit special.
Arrived at the Peterborough Branch to discuss the test drive/possible purchase of a Nissan 350z. Salesmen Rude and Pushy, Little to no Knowledge of Vehicles. I told them that the condition of the vehicles on the forecourt was very different to the condition online, to which I was told that they "are used cars, and as such the condition will not be perfect" and that the vehicles are "bought in and when sold, any rectification work is carried out at the customers request" - How can you trust that? The three 350'zs had kerbed wheels, bodywork damage and were nowhere near worth the asking price. I then enquired about warranty offered and I was told that all used cars are provided with a month's warranty in the price, which is ridiculous considering the impression I got that the cars are barely checked over before being sold on. You'd be better off going to a car auction, there is no benefit of buying a car from this "Dealer" as there appears to be no pride in what they are selling or responsibility. To cut it short, J17 are Wideboys that don't care about the cars or customer experience, AVOID!
There seem to be a variety of experiences of Junction 17 Cars - some people love them but other people feel very badly treated. Unfortunately I'm in the latter category. I bought a Nissan 350Z Roadster from Junction 17 Cars in Peterborough in June 2014. Before sale, I pointed out a number of issues including a tear in the rood, marks in the roof, paintwork, seats needing treated. The salesman happily agreed that all of these would be done before delivery. Based on this we negotiated a deal including delivery to near Glasgow. When the car arrived, I discovered that they'd only done one token patch repair to the roof, hadn't fixed the tear, hadn't treated the seats, and had managed to scratch the newly painted bumper. I spoke to the salesman and he agreed that if I got these repaired locally then Junction 17 Cars would cover the costs. Based on this I paid the balance and took delivery. A few days later the car wouldn't start, requiring me to get the RAC out. They diagnosed that the battery connections were loose, but also pointed out that the battery was not secure (an MOT failure apparently - odd since Junction 17 had supplied the car with a new MOT) and was actually the wrong model of battery. After I managed to get a quote for roof repairs I tried to get back in touch with Junction 17 Cars. The salesman wouldn't take my calls, so I sent an email. No reply. So I sent a recorded delivery letter. No reply. I called asking for the name of the Managing Director. At this point I was put through to the general manager, with whom I discussed the issues. We closed by agreeing that he would speak to the delivery driver then call me back. Months passed with no contact from them. Finally I sent another recorded delivery letter proposing a solution but they just ignored that too. So this company has a fantastic showroom, with some beautiful cars, but they don't do what they say they will and their after sales care (in my experience) is virtually non existent.

Called up junction 17 and spoke to jamie about looking round a GTR for my friends birthday.. Words can't describe how this experience has been. I genuinely have never experienced professionalism, curiously, speed of service like that in my life. Everybody here is insanely polite and respectful. I would never of expected this kind of service from a garage selling such prestige cars but the whole day blew any other day of my life out of the water. Leaving junction 17 insanely extatic about the whole experience, and I know I speak for my best friend and his girlfriend when I say this has been insanely amazing. Would 110% recommend junction 17 for your every cars need. Still can't believe this has happened, still smiling 30 mins later. How I'd never heard the of this garage before is beyond me. If I'm ever lucky enough to afford one of these cars II can say for certain I'll not be looking anywhere else. Best day of ever. Thank you so much junction 17.
I had an awful experience with this dealer. Lack of knowledge about the car, their details not accurate according to car paperwork. They refused to let me test drive the car until I had agreed a price. Why would anyone agree a price before a test drive! They became quite angry with me when I pointed this out, salesmen said he buys cars all the time without even seeing them. They inferred I couldn't afford their car, when I am a cash buyer. They reported people just come in to play with their cars. I am a serious buyer and I have better things to do. Wouldn't go anywhere near them again. Aggressive sales tactics, definitely not good for women buyers.

I wasn't sure about thier sales process to begin with as at first I wasn't allowed to test drive the Mercedes SL I went to see. However, after a few of their lovely coffees and a discussion about my part exchange price they were happy to get the car out the showroom and let me drive it. I ended up driving it home that day too :-)
