Having toured across the central belt of Scotland visiting car garages and searching gumtree and autotrader, I eventually found Kingsgate Motor Company in Livingston. I had an instant trust with Mark who was open, honest and professional. I purchased with confidence a Mercedes Benz E-Class and I am absolutely delighted with it. Good service at Kingsgate Motor Company, car well presented. Set up my road tax for me when I was picking up. Slightly iffy aftermath when a few faults reared their heads. Went back and they basically passed the buck on to the 'independent garage' that looked the car over prior to sale. I repeatedly had to drive 50+ mile round trips to the garage from my home in Edinburgh to get the car seen to. Air conditioning has been repaired at the dealerships expense which is great but the garage refused to admit the further issues were worth doing anything about so I'm left to deal with a suspension knock and a gear selection issue myself at my own expense and effort. This I wouldn't have minded as much if they had been willing to come down a bit in price. Love the car, and reasonable enough guys to deal with and fair play they sorted what could have been an expensive repair at their expense but they need to find themselves a better garage to use as apparently they "couldn't find fault with anything else" and I'm left with a spanner sorting my gearbox out myself.
Initially all was good at Kingsgate Motor Company! We did have a bit of a problem with them, when I found issues with the car they didn't really want anything to do with it. Hoover, now the dealership is now seeming to be more willing to help which Is a positive. The car was good value and I would recommend them!

Top notch dealership! I bought a Vauxhall Zafira back in June and I have had no bother with it at all. It was a very good price and in wonderful condition. The dealers have been great and able to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this dealership.

I bought a car from Kingsgate last week and from start to finish the process was fantastic, they could not do enough for me and even paid for my road tax. Thanks Mark and Sam Keep up the good work
They were fine whilst I was in the process of buying the car but once the car was off the forecourt and I've returned to them with issues they haven't wanted to know, they were unwilling to resolve the problems and eventually stopped answering my calls. When I look to buy my next car in a year or so they wont be getting my business again.

Dale A...I went through exactly the same thing at the start of October 2016 when the exhaust on the Mazda 3 we bought from this garage fell off within the week...it was rotted right through! We have the dated photos, and the invoice for the garage which replaced the exhaust...why would we pay to replace an exhaust within a week of buying a car if there was nothing wrong with it? The dealer at Kingsgate treated us with utter contempt and was extremely aggressive to my husband on the phone, claiming the exhaust could have been damaged on a speed bump.... I've never heard of a speed bump causing an exhaust to be rotted right through! The reason I have just come across your review just now is because we have just heard from another review site saying Kingsgate garage are claiming our review is untrue and 'inacurate' (sic) and they would like it removed. I just thought I would back you up here, having gone through exactly the same contemptible after-sales service and subsequent claims that our review was untrue. Buyers deserve to be informed and aware of potential problems then they can make an informed choice for themselves.
