Had an accident police arrived and lix toll recovered my car as I got taken to hospital. After being released woth a broken spine I tried to recover all my belongings from the car and was rudly told the was a 500 + vat bill for release of my car after numerous days and getting v a letter from the police stating it was free of charge they proceed to tell me to ignore the letter and they would release my car for a 1 of cost of 200 again I refused. They then tell me 2 days later may I add that my car has been SCRAPPED and they can't disclose as to where it went !! Raging is a understatement now I need to make official complaints and still no way of ever getting my belongings or car

You knew what you were doing when you got behind the wheel but we will state all the facts and have all the proof required. We contract for the police and abide by the rules. As you were not the owner of the vehicle and was driving it without insurance, we were given the job to recover the vehicle back to our base. We would never deny anyone of there own personal belongings and in fact on many occasions take out possessions if safe to do so, if a customer asks and store them until collected. The police would never state it was free of charge. You committed a crime and you have to pay for it in the eyes of the law, please understand that. The relevant authorities actually make the decision on if the vehicle is to be scrapped, it does not belong to the garage in anyway. We have no power under our contract and the law to scrap a vehicle, retained by the police. No contractor can. Good luck with your complaints.... We were just doing our job and making up a lie about costings really does make yourself sounds silly, should have thought about the consequences before you broke the law!
Changed garages due to being ripped off in the local village. I was charged for parts that were not changed by a one man band in Killin. Lix Toll still went out their way to help me. I was not sure about using them due to the rumours of them closing but it’s obviously not true just shows their are some nasty people in the village making up what I can only say is silly rumours, I obviously have no idea why now and glad I called. My car was obviously dangerous to drive with it supposedly being fixed. Prices were reasonable and got the car back In the same day. Really should have not listened to the locals. Thanks guys you really are a good bunch of people.
Phoned Lix toll for some advise on my series land rover. The gentleman that answered was very knowledgeable and owns his own series 2a. I ended up popping in on my passing. Was made to feel very welcome and ended up buying several parts I needed at a competitive price. They did not have them in stock but had them sent direct to me which came the next day. Highly recommend to any enthusiast!

Went out there way to help us when we broke down. Thought out holiday was over when our alternator failed. Their workshop was busy but squeezed us in and fixed our vehicle at a reasonable price. The girls were lovely and kept us entertained and informed at all times. Can’t thank you guys enough. Not many rural garages like these left. Thank you to the owners
Took my defender here for an MOT and service, top quality work done at good rates. Really communicative and friendly people running the business. My truck's been plagued with a couple niggles that previous garages haven't fully sorted (electrical - typical of a Land Rover) that are now sorted. Went the extra mile.
RAC use this partner company for breakdowns. Our car was towed to their garage after calling RAC. As we received no contact after 48 hours - I called to be told they hadn't had time to assess our car and would call to update. No call came so we went into the garage, only to be told they would call with an update. No call made until one week later when they rang to inform us our car was ready for collection with a bill for just under £1,000.00. We will never take our car here again.
