I tried to buy a Toyota IQ from this dealership on behalf of our daughter. Even though I was buying remotely with the car unseen the salesman insisted I paid the full amount including a hefty 'administration fee' of over £80 by immediate bank transfer which felt uncomfortable. I would've been happy to pay a deposit to cover preparation costs. I declined the rather steep £250 Nottingham to Norwich delivery fee. In almost comically Mafia-esque style we were 'welcomed to the Maranello family' which seemed a strange thing to say when we were just buying a car not marrying off our daughter to their favourite son. Fortunately it wasn't signed 'Don Corleone' (you'll have to imagine the accent). Anyway the car was not ready for collection within the requested 5 days as it had to be inspected and MoTd which was fair enough but a fault was identified when we were driving 150 miles to collect it a further five days later. They did phone us en route to alert us to this problem. Over the following nine days efforts were made to correct the fault but to no avail and I was offered and accepted a full refund which was paid promptly. My issue with Maranello (apart from the full upfront payment) was that their communication was consistently very poor both by phone and email. They often promised to phone back but never did. I spent more than 2 weeks constantly chasing them which was both frustrating and time consuming. Finally when I requested a small allowance for costs incurred in my failed purchase I was messaged by the manager Deepak to say that the refund 'will be the amount you transferred nothing less and especially nothing more', phraseology which suggests to me that the company is not conversant with, or fully committed to, good customer service i.e. meeting and exceeding a customer's expectations. He also made the amusing comment that he was a 'bit disappointed that you think this situation has been a bad experience!'. I can assure you that two and a half weeks' delay with little or no communication while you hold on to our funds IS a bad experience my friend! I recommend you read 'Brilliant Customer Service' by Debra Stevens which is available from Amazon. I'm sure they mean well really and they were pleasant enough on the phone when I finally got through to them but sorry I regret that I cannot recommend Maranello Cars and Detailing and I note the preponderance of negative reviews on this site even if reviews elsewhere are more positive.

Disgusting. ..don't go to Maranello Cars .bought car said getting serviced,then next day driver stuck on my do no car again,then noticed a wobble when delivering it so went a garage,next day garage orered wrong part ...9days later got car when drove it few days later loads problems told to take it garage when got it finally in they changed 2 front tyres ( like footballs) said had to pay for new timing change oil filters list goes on .. rac Warranty! !!! Waste of time.DON'T GO THERE FULL OF LIES .TRIED TO HELP MMM even told to get MOT off Internet and now paid for V5

Marenello Cars helped me source correct car that needed no pressure.
My partner and I visited Maranello Cars to view a Ford Ranger and paid a £200 deposit to have the car prepared. When we arrived to complete the sale the vehicle was filthy, it still had a chipped windscreen and a shattered wing mirror. We declined the sale and requested our deposit back. Instead we were provided a hand written and signed promise on letterheaded notepaper. The promise wasn't worth the paper it was written on and after several calls and ignored emails we stated as much in a review here. Maranello's response was thus: " Couldn't afford to mot their current car and wanted to buy ford ranger! Funniest thing is the car has been mot'd at main dealer and fully inspected. Something you and your partner have no knowledge about. Polly claims benefits whilst she works cash in hand as a cleaner. The review is for the fact that you didn't proceed with a sale we have the vehicle here for sale. Ps I would be delighted to get the opportunity to put people like you in the public press, blackmail me to reduce my car price or you will leave a review where your words. Well please leave this review on.!!" Kindly, the owner of Maranello informed me by way of a telephone call that he'd made the above reply, so we could take a screenshot, which we'd be pleased to present to anyone who wanted to see it, as he has a habit of attempting to deny negative reviews (see other reviews below). In the end it took the intervention of the AA Cars mediation team to insist Maranello Cars refund the deposit. Luckily they were as appalled as we were.

Bought car an drove off same day pleased with service an outcome as needed car for work as mine broke down no were to rent a car as it was bank holiday these guys sorted me out not had a minutes bother with car I bought of them no pushy salesmen polite helpful doing a good job in my eyes keep it up ok be back for another car off them no bother an cash payment

Bought a fiesta , turned out a shock absorber was blown and exhaust corroded through. And somehow I got a mot off them with no advisories. They weren’t interested in rectifying the problems. With all the bad reviews you would think they would be more helpful. Obviously not, now have to take it further.

Made numerous phone calls and left messages for manager to call me urgently and no return call . Car has oil leak, scuffed paint, when arrived warning signals about high battery discharge, knocking noise as if windscreen not been fitted right, had to place tyres on front . Not been serviced before I collected it, list goes on . Trading standards now involved stay WELL AWAY folks
