Hi All I would seriously think twice before using 'sjprestige' and my experience were horrenous! Firstly it's the ONLY car retailer in the land who does not refund when buying online line WHICH IS AGAINST THE DISTANCE SELLING LAWS but not onlt that, when your buying 'they call you every day all nicley nicley then when and if you change your mind, their attitude changes dramatically that's when you can get hold of someone when they know your cancelling a sale. In addition to this, they advertise vehicles with quotes like, dechomed and 22" alloys and privacy glass. What they don't tell is they cheaply wrap a film around any Chrome, use after market alloys then put a branded centre cap on to make them look 0riginal then again put a cheap privacy film on windows instead of replacing the glass. This is the worst car company I have ever dealt with AVOID AVOID AVOID!

"All style, no substance" Given I have worked within the automotive industry for over 15 years, I am typically not one to write negative reviews, however in this case I feel the need to share my recent experience of SJames Prestige. In sales terms, I would consider myself as a 'red hot lead' given my frequent interest in new vehicle stock that this dealer had available. Following several unanswered phone calls to the sales team, I did finally get the call back so I could express my interest in a specific car, however during the call I found it a challenge to extract any detailed information about the car and was only being given 'topline' information and found there was a real reluctance to share information, which is what any new car buyer really needs. I should also point out that I sensed I was being rushed throughout each call with the sales team, but I was prepared to give the benefit of doubt as it could be duly explained if the individual was new into the business and had some level of inexperience. It was mentioned that they sell vehicles easily and quickly (classic sales line); which might be true, but it did not do anything to enhance my own customer experience but actually only added to my feeling that the company approaches its new business leads with a fair amount of complacency and arrogance. I since received a limited responses via email, and when asked for a factual breakdown about a specific car (historical, MOT renewal, finance application, payment information) all important standard questions, I since received no response at all, which is where is has now been left. I find it hard to believe that any reasonable or normal person would part with large amounts of money towards a non-refundable deposit to secure a car without viewing/test driving it first (each one I enquired about was off site!) and without the key facts of information that any new buyer would absolutely need and expect! If you are prepared to work through the pretentiousness, I would urge any interested in purchasing a vehicle to tread cautious, and do their due diligence.

I purchased a 3 year old low mileage BMW 435d from S James Prestige 10 days ago. The car failed to start on Monday morning with an engine management light illuminated. I left a VM and sent an email to the after sales team requesting a call back to discuss the problem. 48 hours later i eventually received an email requesting that the car be returned back to them to investigate, the car has failed to start twice since and judders and almost cuts out every time it comes to a halt so in my opinion it is not safe to drive. On several occasions I've tried to call the after sales team only to be put through to a voicemail, this is strange as every time i called to inquire about purchasing a car it was answered within 2 rings. I live 97 miles away, so dropping the vehicle off is not straightforward as they cannot give me a slot or advise how long they would need the car for and they do not have any courtesy cars either. The so called warranty is a joke unless you live within close proximity to their base.

Going to share my experience with this so called "prestige" dealership, I purchased my first car ever worth 23k + from them, the car was advertised as being in mint condition with no issues ever, we agreed on having the car delivered and everything looked ok to me that had no experience with cars, especially paint or anything else for the matter, car started and I was happy with that. First problem I had, headlights washer didn’t work, took over a month and countless emails to get it sorted. In less than 4 months from purchase I had to replace the rear pads and disks also, not a small bill as you can imagine. Anyway, I had some rock chips on the front bumper that I wanted to get sorted(not their fault, I guess), went to BMW dealer and they said they are not dealing with this and sent me to a different garage, went there and the guy that greet me had a quick look at it and asked me when did i had work done on it and where, i had no idea how to answer, they pointed out the mistakes and showed me how the paint job was done poorly, color doesn’t match, paint dripped, some of the surfaces are not smooth, the bumper wasn’t even aligned properly, took a trained eye 2 minutes to spot the imperfections, to me it looked ok but once they showed and explained me this I understood what I’m looking at, a job well done, not. Imagine how I felt after hearing this, I tried to get in touch with them, called the shop to ask them to clarify this, no answer, emailed them, no answer. I would advise to stay away from them, the most unprofessional garage ever period.

Well deserved 5 stars for S James Prestige. From the moment I walked through the doors at this spectacular showroom I was treated extremely well. The staff are nothing but professional and welcoming along with their knowledge which is truly exceptional. I was there to view a BMW which did not disappoint. This is am amazing set up, no pressure sales, just a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Customer service is spot on. Will definitely be back when I need another car. Thanks guys for all your help

Bought a 5 Series estate 27k cash from S James Prestige. Their body shop are appalling, paint work peeling. BODYKITS are cheap replicas, it's held on with Velcro! False promises, all cars don't have run flat tyres and they don't supply a tyre repair kit, had fun getting stuck. Body work popping out

This car was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect colour, excellent kit, smooth drive, very low mileage and very friendly service. My car was stolen and they assisted me with providing information to the insurance company straight away. Am looking to purchase from S James Prestige again.

I viewed a car with S James Prestige, and stupidly, even though the tow cover cap was missing from the front and the speedo glass was cracked, I put a £500 deposit down on a 430d. I was told the v5 would take upto 4 weeks to arrive to them before being able to sell (ive now been told by many people this is very fishy in the first place as it should be maximum 10 working days even for a dealer). After 3 weeks I emailed for an update to be told 'i've checked on your v5 and its not expected for a couple more weeks'.. This was alarm bells and also would make it 5 weeks. I decided then to look elsewhere and ended up finding a lovely car, higher spec at another dealer, which was available the next day. I emailed sjames to state look thanks but no thanks, its taken too long and im currently hiring a car costing me more by the day - so i've purchased a car elsewhere. Long story short - they're now want to keep my deposit - even though i've signed nothing. Lovely customer service ! lol

Bought a 2017 67 BMW 530d M-Sport from S James Prestige. I worked in the car trade for 3.5 years and I have to say this is worst customer service I have ever seen. I contacted the branch through email on the Monday & Tuesday regarding a 67 plate BMW 5 series. I received correspondence from Sophie and on the Wednesday decided I wanted to go ahead with the car. I phoned the branch on Wednesday and tried to place a deposit to reserve the car and was told I couldn’t because I had a part exchange. I would have to send in details of the p/x first so they could give me a price. I was told someone would contact me in the morning to help with my enquiry. The morning came and went without a call. I phoned the branch 4 times that day and was told/lied to that someone would phone me back. I eventually got an email at half 7pm from Michael the sale manager asking for information, most of which I had already provided, on my part exchange. Within a couple of hours of receiving the email I had replied with full detail of my vehicle and 13 pictures of the car and service history. On the Friday I got an email back from Michael asking for pictures of the car. I said I sent them in the last email but had attached them again in this one. I then followed that up to check he received them to which he replied he hadn’t, which didn’t make sense because I had sent it to myself and it arrived no bother. I asked Michael if he had WhatsApp and I would send them via that, but I was met with radio silence. I phoned the branch a further 4 times that day to be fobbed off by a member of staff each time. I then went online to discover they had sold the car. Worth pointing out that each time I phoned and spoke to someone over the 3 days they told me the car was still available. I am still waiting on a reply from the branch. Absolutely appalling service!
