Bought a beautiful car recently looked round with no one bothering me ,have had to phone them out twice due to my own fault ,one occasion he came to my home as soon as I rang .Second time he went to my house and brought my car to work for me to drive home,excellent aftercare ,would recommend to anyone and go back myself except I will never let my Beetle go love it.Thank you Snelston Motors.

Paid £1150 for a '06' plate car on 10/3/18 and it broke down 16/5/18 whilst travelling on motorway. Had to get it towed back as the timing belt had snapped. Rang Darrell at Snelston Motors who said contact Warranty wise as its covered with them (it was sold with a 6 months warranty). They will not cover timing belt (which he should know as it states on his website that Snelston is an approved warranty wise dealer) so went back to Snelston. Trading standards say our warranty is with the garage under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as the goods are not of satisfactory quality. Snelston refusing to repair so got to take this further through the courts if necessary. Dont deal with this person/garage as this is what happens, they are great whilst selling a car but dont want to know afterwards. Wouldnt give 1 star but wont let you proceed otherwise.

The car was purchased on the 10/03/2018 with 94,046 mile's. It is a 12 year old Peugeot 307 that only had Part Service History with no mention of the Timing Belt. You are failing to mention you haven't stated the correct mileage of the car now and the fact is has been used for motorway driving Monday to Friday since purchase by your son, with as you say you have a mechanic by trade in the family (Husband) surely they would say is there any record of the timing belt been done with the car's age and mileage that will be done in the car as it's the first thing people in general ask. You are failing to mention we have offered £300 towards repair cost's, which Trading standard's are aware of as we contacted them last week. If you want to take thing's further they have informed us to state we are willing to pay £300 towards the cost of repair's in writing to the court's. The car was £1195 your son wanted it for less with the 6 month's warranty which we have to pay for, so ended up agreeing a deal at £1150 with the warranty. As to Darryl saying "Warrantywise cover timing belt's" he in fact said speak to warrantywise and see what they say. He didn't state the cover them as we know they don't unless they have been changed to manufacture's recommendation's (With paperwork) and a part fail's then they will cover them depending on the level of cover. We have tried to be fair but Darryl struggled to even get a word in many time's on the phone with you and your husband. Even though you have put your son's name down on this review but you haven't on the other so we know who is really behind this. Many will disagree with your claim's of our aftersales that "we don't want to know", we help people out as much as possible with no problem's.

Just for clarity re the Peugeot 307 bought 10/3/18, at least 8 valves to the naked eye are bent, the cam shaft pulley has sheared off and the timing belt snapped, this is going to cost upwards of £700 plus transport costs to repair based on the figures darryl quoted, we would be willing to accept £400 towards the cost of repairs, or to put towards a replacement car, this would then settle the matter.

Bought a Nisan Micra from Snelston Motors, very friendly and helpful staff. No pressure at all. Lots of good advice as well. . Six weeks later, I couldn't open the doors. Popped in and told them. They drove out to my house and looked at it, even though its out of warranty. I had left lights on, hence battery was drained. Got it going for me and checked everything over. Didn't have to do this at all. Really nice people. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a budget car.

Snelston Motor's made my car buying experience easy and hassle free. You don't feel pressured one bit and are left to wonder at your own leisure. Cars at Snelston Motors not as described, travelled 75 miles to look at a "clean" good condition car that turned out to be a nail, the obnoxious salesman at Snelston Motors sitting in his tin shed spent the first 10 mins trying to get the key fob to work so we could look inside it, this did not leave a good impression...avoid!

Wish Id have seen this before I bought a car from here. Car 2 months old and needs new timing belt and other repairs that garage refused to repair. Trading standards involved but no matter what I wont let this go., Hope people read these reviews before buying. Dreadful
