I wouldn't recommend usedcar123 at all. having owned the car I purchased from them for less than a week, I found several issues, some of which were potentially dangerous. it had new front discs fitted along with pads front & rear for the mot before I picked it up but on closer inspection the rear discs were very worn so I replaced them for about £40. the week I received the car, the weather was quite warm so naturally I switched on the air con. but to my surprise it didn't work. (system contained only 4g of gas when it should have 440g +/-30g) I had it recharged (another £45). & whilst there the tyres were checked & found to be all close to the legal limit. the main worry however was the fact that the brake pedal seemed to sink to the floor if held down. I know you don't do this whilst driving but it does indicate there could be a potentially dangerous fault. luckily after my local garage checked, it turned out to be only old brake fluid containing absorbed water that needed replacing. while the car was there I also asked for engine oil & filter to be replaced as usedcar123 hadn't given the car a basic service. something that even the worst dealers usually do as a matter of course. this cost me a further £120 including the pollen filter it needed. the final annoying simple fault that should have been checked & easily rectified was the hand brake adjustment. (found when I visited Sheffield & couldn't hold the car on any incline). I was lucky not to roll backwards into other traffic. the car I bought like thousands of others had a 3 month warranty but as these only probably cover the 3rd crankshaft bearing from the front, they're not worth the paper they're written on. all in all a dealer that does not deserve customers. they were slow to answer the phone before the sale & not even had the decency to reply to my emailed complaints afterwards. also it must bring into question the mot station they use.

Had an easy experience dealing with York 123, no pressure to buy, lovely customer service and left with a great car and a fantastic warranty for an extra piece of mind. Highly recommend

I have just collected my Mercedes Clk from these guys. Fantastic service. The car was exactly as described to me over the phone. They even took the time to describe the car to me on the phone as they walked around it for me. Fantastic. I will definitely be back for another car very soon.

Absolutely disgusting company!! It's easy to understand why when you talk to the so called director. I have never had the misfortune of dealing with such a rude, insulting and aggressive man in my life! The car we purchased from them had no end of trouble, including various breakdowns etc. Numerous attempts and sub adequate repairs carried out. Vehicle is still unreliable. They may give a great sales pitch but please I urge you not to believe a word!!

I can't even begin the describe how terrible these guys are, basically took them 6 weeks to find out the car they sold me was not fit for purpose, swapped for a slightly cheaper car to save hassle and agreed refund of the difference. accepted a pack of lies with a smile but took an agreement in writing to confirm amount to be refunded, was told it would go in later on. aaaaand as expected received nothing, will I see my money returned? I'll eat my hat if I do, do not use this garage it will cost you dearly and they do not care.

Agreed a price on a Toyota auris 1.6 2008, which was priced at 2488. After 10 minutes of agreeing the price it went up to 2888. What a joke! Rang back to confirm they said there was a lot spent on the car so I left it. Thank god I didn't buy the car after reading all the bad comments about 123 York, absolutely rubbish avoid at all cost.
