On the 30th October 2024, the Leeds county court order Kelvedon Motor company van master BARTON ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS, SUFFOLK, IP32 7BE, PHONE 01284 338957 to pay back to the Nigerian Yorkshire Communities Network UK Food bank account sum of £3,521 for supplying unserviced van, 2 engine leaks used by the community group food bank for free food collection and distribution to families with high cost of living, tackling food waste in Leeds/Yorkshire, the van is now completely broken down and with Citreon Dealership in Leeds for engine repair, Van lied to our food bank that van delivery will come with full serviced booklet but nothing of such, and eventually our organisation now discovered that van has been parked for more than 1 year, no service, the Leeds county court now order Vam master to pay £3,521 for engine repair and Van master is now in contempt of court orders, we are CIC community interest company, a social enterprise operating a mobile food bank/food pantry community service, and as off today families are unable to feed young ones, asylum, homeless and refugees due to the major engine issue with this van sold to our organisation by van master, this a shames to van master treating a small food bank like this manner since purchase of this van 14th April 2023, we have been lied to, false promise, and van master needs to name and shamed within our community in the UK.

If anyone needs naming and shaming it is Mr Jayes Kolawole of the Nigerian Yorkshire Community Network. When he purchased the van he said he worked for the nigerian community in Yorkshire and asked for a discounted price, we reduced the price by £1000 and delivered it to Leeds.He was made aware that we were unable to obtain the service hist from the previous owner so we asked him to get it serviced locally and send us the bill. Which he did and we paid, it but he returned the money to our bank the same day.When he paid for the van he claimed that as he was a charity he was not paying the VAT.. No problem but we need his charity No. to satisfy HMRC.. This was never forthcoming and eventually when we went to court mediation he finally admitted to the court officer that he had deceived us and didn't have a charity number.He was advised that the VAT was in fact payable but he refused saying that he didn't have to pay VAT as he did charity work for the Nigerian Community and he has now taken the matter to court which is ongoing.. Lots of people/communities do charitable work but it does not exempt them from paying VAT. THIS WAS A DELIBERATE DECEITFUL ATTEMPT TO AVOID PAYING VAT.
Despite a friendly sales force I purchased a mercedes van in Sep 23. I month afterwards I needed to replace the battery and was promised this would be covered. They failed to respond. Today I was refused an MOT due to the fact that there was no service history regarding the CAM belt which had exceeded its life, a rusty oil filter and various other long term problems which should have been checked. Despite assurances they have failed to respond and as before do not answer calls. I should have checked more carefully and would advise any one purchasing a car from this dealer to ensure they take it to an authorised garage to be properly checked. They are not trustworthy I am sorry to say.

I have now purchased two Mercedes sprinter 313 dropsides from van master in bury st edmunds. I requested the second van to have the same spec as the first I purchased, so without fail Simon and Rob sorted the new bed, rear camera and led lights for the back. Really happy with what they have done. Will be back to get our next truck at the end of the year.

Really happy with my van. Both guys really helpful, (even essex Josh 😉) knew their stuff, I found them honest and not pushy at all. Would definitely buy another van from the Van Master.

Really happy with everything about this company couldn't recommend Van Master enough.
I bought a van over the telephone from Van master and when I arrived a few days later to test drive and conclude the deal I found that the van was even better than advertised. The efficiency and service received from the boys can only be described as 1st class. I will most certainly be back soon for another two vans. Thank you to all the boys for making my transaction a great experience. See you again soon.
I imported a 2013 van from Van Master Bury St Edmonds in Dec 2017 and specifically asked for particular attention be paid to cleaning. It arrived in NZ in a disgusting state inside and out, and as a result has cost me NZ$700+ for local wharf & inspection charges. I also asked for the van to be checked for damage but close investigation shows distinctly sub-standard repairs completed to somewhat hidden but structural components. Van Master has not responded to any communications from me on these matters.
