Bought a Volvo C70 from Greenpoint Car Sales online in January 2023, I was dumb enough to believe the owners sales talk, told me it was 'Spot on' so bought it, great delivery service but that's where the good news stops, within 24 hours of driving the car I noticed a knocking sound from the back of the car, so booked the car into my local garage to see what the problem was, they found that the 'Drop Links' were worn out, even though the car had passed GCS own MOT !! but not only that the garage pointed out many other more serious faults, including totally ineffective rear shock absorbers which were leaking oil, noisy rear wheel bearing, play on the steering rack, buckled front wheels, the front offside had been in a smash, and was poorly painted. When I contacted Greenpoint Car sales, all they said was, it was sold with an MOT, so that makes it a good car ! This was then taken to legal, I was contact by Greenpoints legal team and the case was going in favour the dealer, I decided to cut my losses and fork out for repair works myself. I'm having to spend £1,500 on repairs for the car to make it 'Roadworthy' and bring it back to a condition that I am happy with, when I checked previous MOT's from August 2021,and 2022, I noted the car had been given several repeated 'Advisories' but GCS had the MOT done again in December 2022 just 4 months after the previous one ! and what do you know, all the 'Advisories' had disappeared, but strangely reappeared when the car was inspected by my garage ! Beware, be very aware !
