We visited Catalina cars yesterday we were greeted by Tom his friendly and professional attitude was excellent he seemed to have plenty of experience in the trade. Tom helped us to purchase a lovely car sorted the paperwork we drove away very happy within an hour excellent service would recommend Catalina cars to anyone
I would be incredibly careful buying a car from this garage. I bought a 2014 mini with low mileage and a 12 month mot with no advisories. Sounds great! It wasn’t. We collected the car after 3 days (they wanted to clean it and check it over) and it was filthy, it smelt musty and dirty. The car had a broken wing mirror and a few scratches that hadn’t been advertised, I can live with that, easily sorted, it’s an older car. Within a day the engine light had come on and the tyre pressure light. They were great, take it to your nearest garage and we’ll get it sorted for you. I did that, the car needed to go back to mini for the issue. 3 months later, they’ve dropped off the face of the Earth. I would call and txt daily to hear them in the background saying “oh tell I’ll call her back later”. Unsurprisingly, no call. We end up threatening legal action and all of a sudden, they’re ready to help. The car goes to bmw and they complete a health check. It needed £900 worth of engine work including a new turbo pipe, it had a punctured tyre, one close to the legal limit, a broken seatbelt and corroded breaks. They only agreed to fix the seatbelt and engine. 3 weeks later they’re still not paying for it. I’m now without a car for 4 months. Eventually it gets paid and I get my car. I still had to pay for new tyres, new breaks, new wing mirror. You tell me how that passed the in house MOT…. I’m absolutely appalled that someone would sell such an unsafe and battered car.

I purchased a vehicle in August 2021 (2017 reg), and already both of the coil springs have broken. This has cost me in excess of £800. I was sold Warranties2000 Gold Plus cover, which was added to my purchase cost without my consent, which turns out that the coil springs are not covered. Nothing about the cover was explained to me and even the fact that it’s only valid if the vehicle is serviced every 6 months. I’m absolutely shocked and appalled that firstly I’m having these issues just over a year after purchasing the vehicle, and secondly that I was miss-sold warranty which is not valid for the parts that are damaged. I can’t imagine how many others have been tricked into this without knowledge, and are now left frustrated and out of pocket like myself. Absolutely disgraceful.
This company will happily take your money, happy to sell a written off car unfit for the road. They will deny this, they will also say that monies paid is irrelevant, they will then take months to return your money. In the meantime you will be confronted by rude management, you will be called a liar, they will turn off all reviews so you can’t tell the truth. This is a company to avoid at all cost, especially if you want your family in a car that is road worthy and safe.

Hi Sophie I have also been sold a written off car by catalina and told its never happened before and they didn't know it was one. How long did it take for you to get you're money back? I have been waiting 3 months so far and they haven't offered any updates.
Paid 4000 for a Vauxhall corsa left the show room 2 mile down the road engine light comes on - they paid for a new 02 sensor fitted at my local garage which was fine - left that garage and it came on again - they said I had to take it back for them to look at however the light went off after 7 hrs - on the 1/5/22 my exudate fully fell off whilst at work as a nurse leaving me out of work for 3days - the warranty they gave me doesn’t cover it and when taking the car to get fixed I had to pay 200 - the mechanic told Tom who every one claims to be amazing and he said he would call me back - my fiancé company called them and again they promised to call back - 2 days later I’ve lost 3 days wages 200 cost for a new exhaust and brackets and they just lie and say they will phone me back. I am now taking this as far as I possibly can with help from a friend that works in law - I am putting a full complaint into trading standards and I am not willing to let this go I have had this car for around 8weeks and depend on it as I’m a Covid tester for the office of national statistics and also I nurse x2 days a week. I find it absolutely disgusting that they haven’t even contacted me back. Do not be fooled by the nice voices and fake reviews.

Buy from this garage at your own peril , on first arriving on forecourt we found some nice motors and we were not pressured to buy at all. We chose a nissan qashqai and took it a test drive , found a couple of minor faults which we were told would be put right before we collected , on driving the car away on collection 30mile away 2 more faults occurred and one more major fault 3 days later , many many calls to them to be constantly told Tom's not available he will call you back , no calls ever returned . 48 calls in total to them . Eventually they agreed to repair car after dragging it out long enough so we couldn't get a full refund . They repaired it only for the fault to occur again (major smoke from under bonnet) . The finance company got involved and advised them to take the car back and they refused . We gave them a second chance to fix the issues and only 32 mile after the car being returned a second time the engine/ turbo smoked badly again . We got video evidence of this as it actually happened and catalina still said there was nothing wrong with the car ?? They eventually agreed to have the car back but would not refund any of our £1000 deposit they said this would be taken for milage we had used . We took the car back to be told by Michael " well there's nothing wrong with it is there and its going straight back on the forecourt " This my friends is the type of rip off merchants you are dealing with and to think that another unknowing customer will buy that very same car with the very same problem, thats pretty poor customer service to me . These guys will happily help to take your money but once you drive off the forecourt will do absolutely nothing to help if you have a problem . We are genuine hard working people that just wanted a fair deal at a fair price and we feel that we have been absolutely trampled on, ripped off and treated like we were liars. People like this do not deserve to have genuine peoples custom. This review is all actual fact .Please take note and give these cowboys a swerve and do yourself the biggest favour that you could. I'm only giving 1 star because it won't allow me to give none .
In October I bought a Red Citroen DS4 1.6 TaHP Sport. After buying the car I filled the tank and insured the car. On the same day of purchase the engine warning light came on and the dealership said the car needed to be reset after service. After noticing the warning light would not disappear I drove back to New Pudsey in limp mode with the car struggling to drive at 30mph. The dealership a couple days later claimed to fix it buy replacing the ignition coil. Halfway home the same day, the same problem returned and the engine fault was again showing. I returned the car the same day. What's shocking is the dealership told me before purchasing that all the mot advisories were resolved and the car was recently serviced. Sadly that was a not true. I was also told I will not be refunded for all the petroleum I put in the car. Untrustworthy, unprofessional con artists the lot. Watch out. I'm going to cast a spell on you all.

Absolutely horrendous , do not buy from this place , they have no respect for people's lives by selling dangerous cars , we bought one , had it checked by an independent mechanic who deemed it un road worthy , we then had to pay for a low loader to return to the garage , Yorkshire police have been informed along with trading standards , so be careful if uve bought a black fiesta metalic, THE POLICE ARE AWARE OF THIS CAR !!!!! AVOID THIS GARAGE PLEASE
