A couple of days later, he rang to let me know the car had been reduced slightly in price. No pressure, just to let me know. Having travelled nearly 3 hours to a large UK garage dealer we found out that the car we had paid a deposit for needed a new gearbox.. Not ideal after spending 2 hrs at their site and to be let down without any remorse. We then saw a Honda Civic for sale and called for information. Having been reassured we could complete a deal before they closed we drove 2 hrs to the A64 branch where Ryan met us and showed us the car. Very polite, all questions answered and generally a good relaxed service. Having bought 7 cars in the past I can honestly say that this was the BEST service we had ever received. We got a very fair trade in price for our old car and signed on the dotted line as soon as we got back from our test drive. Having a trade in, test drive and new car keys in my hand in around an hour was something that we had never had before. Visited the Tadcaster site on sunday after looking at the car online. We were dealt with by Ryan. Not in a pushy way at all. I normally find buying a car quite stressful but it was so easy and laid back. The deal done, a fair price for part exchange and finance arranged on a Sunday! Couldn't have been happier with the service from Affordable Cars. Recently purchased a Mini from the A64 Branch and fortunately had Carl who was very knowledgable and friendly in helping me decide on what car would be best for me. Very approachable, they were happy for me to make my own decisions and at no point did I feel pressured into making a decision like I have done in other garages. I'd recommend to anybody.

Please don't buy a car from the York branch of Affordable cars........they really are awful people!!! It won't let me comment unless I give them a star......and there's no option of giving them a minus!!! My has broken down twice in 4 months and they have basically washed their hands of me.....not willing to do anything to help, then sending me threatening emails telling me that "I was lucky" I didn't get charged for the transporter that couldn't deliver cars because I had had my broken down car recovered to their garage for them to fix.....that was after only 2 months, which they never repaired and sent me to another garage that has cost me a total of £420 (so far) and it's still not fixed!! I darent drive my car any longer as I'm scared it will breakdown or they will try to blame me for driving the car when there is a problem with it and the only way to identify the problem is to take it to Mini Cooper York, who will charge me an ABSOLUTE fortune and there's no guarantee that I will be able to claim the money back. The warranty they give with the car isn't worth the paper it's printed on and Im now in the process of trying to get my money back from the finance company under the Consumer Credit Act 2015 for supplying me with a car that's not fit for purpose.
