Bought a Volkswagen polo from Cowley Motor Company last year in part ex for my older polo. Considering they are supposedly AA approved after driving it out the engine management light came on within 10 mins! It also had a bald tyre an numerous other faults. I returned it several times and it was taken to their own garage. However each time I collected light would come back on within minutes of driving out an car would be sluggish. Eventually they claimed an auto electrician had fixed it although no one could explain what the fault was. An each time I went to collect car from their garage the mechanics would claim they were not the one who had worked on the car. The after 6 months of owing has needed a new timing belt, pistons and breaks. I was told when having the timing belt done that the oil was black an oil filter split/ cracked and seals non existent. I'd had the car just over 8 months an used it to go to work an back 3 mile journey daily. Car has done 39000 miles an is a 61 plate. Very shoddy car an still not running properly. The car I part exed was also not take out of my name as they said they would sort that as the owners son was having it. On ringing his son I was told he never takes cars out of the previous owners name. However is not illegal to drive around on tax from the previous owner? I was told "If you don't like it ring the DVLA , go " His pens Cheadle Car Sales of read many a bad review from both car sales. They also appeared in a show for fraudsters! Bought a vehicle from here less than a week ago. The very day we got it back to our home (250 miles away) we realised we had bought a turkey! Multiple problems, car not as described and a dodgy MOT done the day before. The car is now sat roadside and failing to start (5 days after purchase), Not what you expect from a £8000 car! Being given the run around by the salesman who sold us the car and am just in the process of exercising my legal rights. Utter joke of a company. Be warned!

I purchased a car from Cowley Motors in 2015. I had the car a few weeks and it developed multiple faults which the warranty did not cover, for a change. Put the car in a independent garage to be told the car was a potential death trap and the repairs was going to cost us 700 pounds on top of the 3200 pound i had paId for the car. They are all smiles when taking your money.
