I bought this car online (I live 200 miles away). When it arrived (on time) it was even better than the photos. Once taxed & insured, I took it for a spin along a variety of roads......it drives like a dream. JGM Motors went out of their way to locate this car for me and then gave me a great price. I'm well pleased.

I feel for people who have had a bad experience but can only speak from my own I bought a car from this company a month ago, Gary seemed friendly enough on arrival although at times I think he would benefit from some customer service training. I stupidly did not read the reviews before I bought the car, had I had done so I would have given it a wide birth. I am glad I never though as it has turned out well for me. I found Tracey to be very polite and friendly as well as efficient. After I collected the car and reading previous reviews I took it to have a thorough examination. I was told it looked like it had not been serviced (which I was told it was going to have) but that wasn't a major problem easily sorted, on further examination it looks like I have a very good car. I then paid for a full service, cam belt and water pump change as that had not been done for some time. I am really happy with the car I bought, it has everything I need and more. It came with a gold warranty (24 months) again after reading reviews I checked with the warranty company to make sure it had been set up and it had. Because they could not deliver my car and I had to collect it Tracey kindly paid my road tax for the year. I have had the car a month now with no problems and can honestly say I am very happy. This is a genuine review from a happy customer, so thank you JGM Motors

I have recently bought a car from Gary at JGM motors. I found Gary fair and down to earth, he wasn’t at all pushy and answered any queries straight away. There were a couple of things needed doing to car so I left a deposit and paid the balance when everything was done. Nothing was too much trouble, and I found them very professional. Gary promised he would fulfil his promises and he did, thank you Gary I absolutely love my car. Reading other reviews can be off putting but I have to speak as I find and I found JGM to be very fair, respectful and honest. Thank you

i dont know how jgm motors are still trading, so unprofessional. They claimed to of sold me a working car however I drove it a week and the engine started overheating and smoking, they wouldn’t take it back. stopped answering my calls so I went down to the company, the dealer was very aggressive towards us. Eventually told us to leave the car and will get it checked and phone us the next day, however we didn’t hear for 2 weeks for him to tell us it’s out of warranty and he can’t do anything. Luckily we had the finance company to fight our side and got it returned. Their is so much more detail into this story he physically hit my boyfriend and very very rude, I would stay far away from this company they need to be shut down.

The man who owns JGM Motors is rude, arrogant and condescending. He sold me a car which obviously needed a new clutch but I bought it on good faith as I had explained my very dire circumstances and I believed him to be genuine. He took me for a test drive, I didn’t think to argue. Yep fool me once. So I stupidly paid because I needed a vehicle there and then. After that he basically became nasty. Each time I have called for basic information he has been rude, told me that he has spent loads of money on MOTing my car. Nonsense, I paid for the car with 12 months MOT. I believe he has set ways with set circumstances. Seem nonchalant but happy to help at first. Friendly wife comes in and you think ah great, family man. Then, if makes a sale he’s fine to see you off. From what I have read on his other reviews, if he has to answer awkward questions he becomes sullen and pushy. If you call him about anything ever again he will ask for your name, if you have bought a car with him and which one. He’ll then make you feel like you did something wrong (buying a car off him is obviously the mistake). And that will be the end of all communication. Next victime please. Awful. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I’m going to make myself heard about this man everywhere I can. Having read the way he has treated other too. I’m furious for his behaviour towards me and on behalf of everyone else he has wronged. Shame on him.

I saw the car I wanted from JGM Motors for half the price of everywhere else. Very well priced vehicles. Had the car a month. Condition is amazing and runs well. Definitely a good car. As for the dealer himself. The owner was an unpleasant man to deal with. He is very pushy, rude and I felt like I was bothering him coming to view the car. Car wouldn't start as it needed a new battery. Yet he was still pushing me to buy it without even test driving it. As I asked questions he was snappy and didn't seem like he wanted to answer. He kept asking me if I could afford it. He stated 12 month warranty on the ad. Which is wrong. It's only 1 month. I had to take the car back for new battery. Which was done easily. I then took it back for the engine management light. Easy fix but they had scuffed the car and denied it. Horrible service. I can recommend the cars and prices but not the dealer. If you have to deal, deal with his son. The owner's son was very nice and friendly and easy to deal with.

I purchased a second hand car from JGM Motors at Coalford Farm for my daughter in November 2017, the vehicle came with a 30 day warranty. The car turned out to be defective, not to a standard of mechanical worthiness that would reasonably be expected, the dealer failed to make good any of these problems or to honour his warranty. I gave the dealer every opportunity to repair the vehicle or compensate me for my losses, calling him 7 times, sending 5 emails and 2 letters by registered post before seeking redress through the small claims court. The County Court awarded a judgement against JGM Motors for the full value of my claim, but when the bailiffs went to enforce this judgement at the dealership where I bought my daughters car at Coalford Farm, they were informed that JGM ceased trading in October 2017. The company that is now trading from Coalford Farm is called JGM Car Sales and is not liable for the debts of JGM Motors. The lady that signed our receipt for the payment for my daughter’s car on behalf of JGM Motors is now the Director of JGM Car Sales. JGM Motors have now applied to be struck off at Companies House without filing accounts to March 2017, these are still overdue. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this family ran business should have an AA or RAC inspection carried out before handing over any payment.

Just bought by our 3rd car from JGM and we couldn’t be happier. Great curtomer service, family values that make you feel welcome, recognised for being a return/loyal customer and a great cuppa too. All cars have been great value. If you’re looking for a second hand motor, these guys are by far the best in town.

Bought a car from JGM a couple of months ago and man do I wish we checked the already shocking reviews on here first. The car itself was in relatively good condition, however that is the only positive about this experience. The sale was agreed under the terms that JGM would have a fresh MOT put on the car, an oil and filter service would be carried out and the missing aerial would be replaced. When I arrived to pick the car up, I was given an MOT certicate. I enquired about a receipt for the service but was told that they would look into it. I was also told that the aerial was on order and would be fitted at a later date. When getting into the car noticed a warning light on the dashboard indicating that a sidelight bulb was out and I was able to confirm. Instead of going back in for such a minor issue, I instead drove home as it was late. When I arrived home we noticed a wiper blade was torn and that the primary key didn't turn the car over. The fact that a bulb was out and wiper blade was torn gave me serious doubt to the validity of the MOT that was allegedly carried out, as either one would normally cause an MOT to fail. I emailed JGM about the issues we'd noticed as we were supposedly given a 30 day warranty. No reply. I sent a few texts to the mobile number that was shown on their website enquiring about those issues. No reply. A few days later I phoned JGM to enquire about the issues. Gary, the man who sold us the car, answered and immediately seemed to take exception when I brought up my concern about the validity of the MOT certificate and a heated argument soon ensued. He was condescending and extremely rude, he talked over me but demanded I let him finish when I returned the favour. He even had the audacity to demand that I stopped texting his personal number, that he allegedly gave me out of good faith - but it was clearly visible on their website. I later went online to check the MOT certificate and it appears that the car had failed its MOT due to a sidelight bulb being out, and it was still out, as well as a registration plate lamp being out, which I then confirmed to be the case. The car had then been subsequently passed without those issues being fixed which confirmed my suspicion of a dodgy MOT. I later phoned the garage that did the MOT and enquired about what they'd been asked to do on the car and they said that they had only done an MOT. They explained that they do a lot of MOTs for JGM so the logical conclusion I draw is that they're in cahoots with one another and they put vehicles that are not roadworthy back on the road on behalf of JGM. We then had the car checked by an independent local garage and luckily they found no major issues, although there was virtually no oil in the tank, which they topped up. So that means that JGM didn't bother with the oil and filter service we had agreed upon either. I later emailed JGM again detailing the issues we'd had with the car and requested reimbursement for the costs we had incurred. I received no response from JGM but instead a response from Legal Solutions 4u, a legal firm that JGM must have on retainer. As you can imagine the email I received, which was full of Legalese, no doubt intended to confuse and intimidate, basically said that I had no legal grounds to seek reimbursement from JGM and requested that I no longer contact their client. I responded to that email twice over the following month and received no response. I finally received a response over a month later when I emailed for a third time explaining that I intend to report JGM to Trading Standards (which I have done) and leave the review you're currently reading. To echo the title of another review left about JGM, avoid like the plague. P.S. I'm still waiting for this aerial...

As far as I can gather from this lengthy and rehearsed script, the only issue with his girlfriends car was a split wiper rubber and a sidelight bulb out.He did inform us that his own garage had fitted these parts to the cost of roughly £5.00 and that his own garage did confirm subsequently that the car was in good working order with no MOT advisories or fails.The problem was therefore rectified. He insisted to text after hours so I asked him politely to stop. He informed us that he had sorted his own replacement aerial( which did not affect the radio whatsoever-this was confirmed on the signed PDI inspection). This vehicle was checked for oil and found to be adequate(the customer was not charge for a service). Some customers(the extreme minority) cannot be kept happy and are not at all reasonable-so a polite,professional letter from our legal representatives outlined the situation and put them on the right track. I expect the Ford Ka his girlfriend purchased will give her good service.
