I’ve bought cars from back street garages, luxury brands and everything in between over the last 30 years so I thought I’d seen it all, how wrong I was! Saw a car on the Richard Hardie website, called to be told it was at Scotswood Road, so a deposit was placed and the car was to be driven over. First off the price tag had been removed (well we’d placed a deposit and assumed that was why), thought nothing of that as it was advertised clearly on their website,though we liked the car but did point out wheel damage which we were told would be looked at. Initially I was told they wouldn’t repair the wheels and suggested I do it through my insurance, I am not joking! But they relented after I went down to see Kerry the sales mismanager who declined to see me but accepted the repair. Anyway came to the end of the deal to be told the price had been increased by £500 and that they wouldn’t honour the website price as it was a ‘mistake’ and had been listed at the wrong price I ended up speaking to ‘Dave’ the branch mis-manager after speaking with Kerry. Basically they said they could charge whatever they wanted for the car irrespective of what their website said even saying they wouldn’t even drop their inflated price by £10! So Trading Standards have been informed but beware of these. The flags outside might not be visible but they are definitely there and they make back street garages look reputable, and Frank Butcher wouldn’t be out of place here. Seriously avoid this place, you’ll be so glad you did. There is no place for these despicable desperate practices in today’s customer focused world and it will be a great day when this Hardie horror show goes bust!

I purchased a vehicle from here in January. I have had numerous issues with it The car was not clean and was covered in scratches and I have endured costs already. The service and after sales has been very poor. I wouldn't recommend this dealership.
