Professional, while also being down to earth is sometimes hard to get these days. I spotted my perfect Porsche on Auto Trader and immediately rang Spalding Car Sales to confirm availability. The 2 hour drive to Spalding was well rewarded - the car was ‘as described’ and the staff were very helpful. Phil, the boss, is a pleasure to deal with. He is highly knowledgeable and passionate about cars. A deposit was placed and a few days later I collected a car that had been prepared to a very high standard indeed. I couldn’t be happier! The old adage “If something seems too good to be true…………….” certainly didn’t apply to my amazing car purchase. Special thanks to Tamsin for “going the extra mile”.

Bought my Jaguar xf over the phone a deposit was left and car secured on condition that my trade in was as described. Phil and his son were very friendly with no bull. My new car was ready for me to pick up. My wife and I are very happy and would definitely buy from Phil again......

From initial phone call to meeting Phil at the showroom I was well informed about the car I was buying. I was allowed to look around it in my own time and any questions asked were answered. The A4 Avant is beautiful and prepared to the highest standard for my collection. I wish Phil and team well for the future and thank them for everything. Spalding Car Sales collected me from the train station and when i got to their site i saw the car had been prepared to an excellent standard. The whole of the staff especially the boss Phil were a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate in recommending these guys and will certainly go back.

We recently bought a bmw x5 e70 from Spalding car sales and I must say the service we received was excellent. The car was prepared to a very high standard . Buying used cars can be stressfull but we felt confident that the car would be fine and it has been fantastic . Easily the best car I have owned so far . Would definitely recommend.

Hi Phil, Just a quick thank you for a brilliant service I received when I purchased my new car. It was so hassle free, quick and efficient. Not pushy like your normal car dealers and I didn't feel (being a woman) that I was being fobbed off. The car is great and everyone loves it.. Had agreed an appointment to view and test drive a Jaguar at 430pm at Spalding Car Sales. Half an hour later they sold the car to someone else without giving me the option. Not a firm with integrity.

I am sorry that you are disappointed, however every car is available up until the point a deposit is placed on it (over the phone or in person). You were given the opportunity to place a holding deposit on the vehicle in our first conversation while you were in France, however, you were not sure it was the car for you as it did not have the heated/cooled seats you required. As it happens a colleague took the phone call from you to arrange a viewing while I was on test drive with the customer who purchased the car, you were called immediately after a deposit was placed. Unfortunately without any commitment from you the car could not be removed from sale. As I explained in our 1st conversation we sell cars all over the country and take holding deposits over the phone on a regular basis so that customers only need to make 1 journey to collect their new car.
