I had the misfortune to buy a car from these people. All looked good for the first three days, then the engine suddenly cut out while driving in traffic. After a few minutes it started again, only to cut out again. I had the car inspected independently and the conclusion was that a second hand, faulty engine management module had been fitted to it. The short story is that I had to take them to court and I won the case and they had to pay my money back and all of the expenses. However this took about nine month to complete. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

I just purchased a 2013 Discovery 4 HSE from SR Motor Group ,it was a good price,not great but good,I bought it knowing it needed new pads and discs all round and new timing belts,this I accepted,i drove it home and gave it to an independent Landrover dealer who did the above work,but I was informed it needed new lower arms which cost me a further £800 to complete the work,something i didn’t expect,especially as the car had just had past its MOT 5 days previously,which brings me to the beware part This car past it’s MOT with 0 advisories with brakes that we’re a wreck and totally destroyed lower arm bushes,it should have failed and would have at any other MOT station but it didn’t at the MOT station immediately attached to SR MOTORS,it reminds me of the old addich “ do turkeys vote for Christmas “ and percunnery interest Very polite people but sadly flawed but you do reap what you sow My advice is take a mechanic with you before buying and don’t be fooled by there nice manor ,double check everything I contacted the dealer in relation to the lower arms and his response “ they all have a problem with the lower arms” no offer of full or partial compensation was offered

I bought a c250 from SR Motor Group a month ago. They advertised car with specs that were not on the car to match up the asking price. When I spoke to them about it they said they got specs straight from Mercedes. The car is swaying left and when I picked it up it had a squeak which they told me to bring car back and they would fix. They couldn’t find the fault apparently even though it was on the previous mot. They done me a new mot coincidentally they missed the problem.i called them and emailed them and niaz the sales manager seems to be avoiding me and is always busy. The squeak is from a failed control arm which is causing the squeak and the sway but am being told that’s not covered by warranty even though it was there from point of sale and was promised it will be sorted. I plan on taking them up with the ombudsman and dvsa to find out how they “missed” the fault on the mot for a garage that’s AA approved. Or was it because it was their own garage they passed it regardless ***when they got your money they don’t care no more***avoid*****

No after care help, shoddy paperwork, no cover on the warranty. Complete lack of any interest in the customer once the money has changed hands. Took 2 months to get the servicing details they initially did upon our purchase. Not sure what was serviced and paperwork very vague and once we had the car one of the dust caps on the tyres had to be replaced by another garage as it was melted on and and immovable. Tyre pressures obviously weren't an issue before putting it back on the road with a customer. Asked for their garage to email me the full service report and tod they had no computer there and all done by hand! Be very careful you have any car here checked by someone else before you buy, or better still avoid and go somewhere else.

i have recently bought a car from these guy very smooth from start to finish even had a tyre replaced that only got an advisory on the mot so that was above and beyond what I was expecting would have been five starts if it wasn't for there communication as this needs a little work as I had to do all the chasing and ringing apart from that great

AVOID THIS GARAGE AWFUL SERVICE AND TREATED ME REALLY BADLY ! I recently PX my car for a mini at this garage , I went for it as it had blue tooth fitted. When i collected my car I asked how the bluetooth worked and was told by Simon to go home and read the user manual. I did but with no success I went back to see them , he also could not get this working so sent me to Auto Electrics to look at it. They told me the module was faulty as it was not picking it up so I then went back again to see them. Simon then denied telling me that he told me it had bluetooth in it when I looked at it! I could not believe what I was hearing , they even tried to blame auto trader for putting bluetooth on the ad and they hadnt wrote it. I called BMW in front of them and they told him it was made with Bluetooth and USB as extras . He then admitted to saying it so they booked it into mini ro get it looked at . It took them 2 days to make this simple phone call but it was looked at. Mini confirmed this waa faulty and would need a new part fitted and had to be done there as Mini have to use a special tool to link it to the chassis no at a cost of £750. Part was £550. Simon advised me they would get it fixed but not at mini and the part he was looking at was 2nd hand of Ebay! I had just spend £4260 on a car that did not have this working and he wanted to fit a 2nd hand part with no warranty. I was so upset and angry and all he could say was " you brought a 2nd hand car you will get a 2nd hand part" . I rung trading standards and they advised me I was entitled to my money back but they would not give me it, I wrote them 2 letters asking but they still did not give me it. They wrote saying they would fix it but again not via mini. Too little too late and I dont trust them as a garage . I started court proceedings after they did response to me and reading other reviews looks like Im not the only one who has done this so that's a bad move on their part as the courts will see im not the only one to have trouble with them. The car has other faults too and like someone else wrote the AA report is not worth the paper its wrote on. Disgusting service, Rude, no customer service skills at all !
