Absolute jokes. Old Welwyn Motor Company asked me to hand in my drivers licence and pay £10 non refundable deposit to test drive car. They also said I can go test drive it myself and was not interested in sitting in the car or even talking about it, very rude and arrogant dealer. They paid no attention to any buyers in fact they were having an argument between themselves in the parking lot. Seriously avoid.

Bought a car from this company and found out from the previous owner that the car was sent for scrap as was told the car was unsafe. The car has broken down a number of times, so I have decided to scrap it myself. Previous owner explained the car was not able to pass MOT so very shocked to realise I had the car. Avoid this company at all cost. I am £1000 down the drain for 2 months driving.

I found a car I was interested in with this dealership, so I decided to ring them, on talking to them I found them very disinterested and abrupt, never the less I decide to go and look at the car and subsequently purchase the vehicle. Customer service does not come high on their agenda, they were only interested in you looking and possibly buying the car. One of the guys was Mr Angry and all he needed was a reason to have an argument with you. Their goal was to sell you the car, take your money and you may leave. I would struggle to deal with them again but they did have the car I wanted and it drives well.

I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Old Welwyn Motor Company not to as they are very rude. I brought a car that broke down within 5 days of buying it, then on a number of occasions after that I have now got them to take the car back but they are still holding onto some of my money until I return log book to them but they haven't even sent it off yet. I'm fuming as its stopping me from being able to purchase another vehicle so please please think twice before buying from Old Welwyn Motor Company.

I am still in complete disbelief that a dealer charges a non refundable deposit of £10.00 to test drive any car. The money is taken off the price of the car if you buy it, if not, you've simply paid £10.00 for the privilege of testing a car. The sales person was completely disinterested in us as potential buyers. We liked the car we drove but I refuse to buy a car from someone that shows so little interest in me and my wife as customers. I read the other reviews on here with a pinch of salt before I went to the dealer but having been there and met the "staff" I can see how right others reviewers are. Air on the side of caution and look elsewhere.

Hi people, I have recently visit Welwyn Motor Company, I came there to part exchange my lovely, clean Audi petrol, reason for the change was for a Diesel car. As soon as I entered I thought it was a dirty place, no one even paid attention to someone that have come to there dealership. Thought ok, I go first and start my conversation with them. Have told them that I'm here to part exchange my vehicle for there one I see for sale, but as soon as they have heard which car I have to give for part exchange. They gave me so miserable answer, haven't even looked at it, they not interested. Very rude customer service, would not recommend this place for part exchange. They will just not talk to anyone.

I have a case registered with Citizens Advice so that they can share my experiences with other agencies as the car was a wreck that I bought from Old Welwyn Motor Company. There was a hole where the entertainment centre was and there was no computer. Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and Sale of Goods Act 1979 are meaningless to them.

Visited this dealer this morning. What a shock !! The cars advertised in the photos look good and obviously are set in a setting to entice you to think they are good. In reality the forecourt is a shambles, none of the cars are prepped or have any prices on them . On speaking to the dealer, the most unhelpful person Ive probably met, I quickly walked away . Shocking service and attitude.

This car dealer (Old Welwyn Motor Company) is not good at all, I am absolutely disgusted with this dealership and their un-ethical practice of selling cars. The car I bought from them stopped working the very day i bought it, i've spent so much on it even paying a removal truck to take it back to the garage only for the owner of this car dealer to physically and verbally abuse me and refused to refund my money. DONT EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM THEM.

Old Welwyn Motor Company in Hertfordshire are a pretty elusive company when it comes to reviews. You will find they don't have any reviews or online presence as they seem quick to remove them. I quite simply enquired about a car as a new buyer I was interested in a particular car but it had an array of faults. Seat belts were mouldy obviously had been sat on the forecourt a while, air conditioning didn't work the brakes were the most warped and corroded I'd seen on a vehicle. some warning lights were on including airbag. Foolishly I asked them to fix the issues and was asked to pay a deposit of £300. More foolishly I paid the deposit. On my return and inspection the seat belts were clean, the warning lights disappeared and the air con running but not gassed. My chief issue were the brakes having previously test driven it they were almost unusable. I requested they replace the brakes as previously agreed and they refused I had previously put this in writing with them. I then refused the vehicle and requested my deposit back they told me they weren't able to due to the manager not being in. Foolishly I agreed to return the next day instead of calling the police. They of course refused and laughed at me on the phone, told me small claims court would cost more then the £300 deposit wished me luck... I chalked it up to my stupidity and naivety as a buyer and moved. A year on I came across a car from them on Auto Trader and couldn't believe they were still trading. Take my experience as advice and go elsewhere. Everything that gives car dealers a bad name exists here.
